wow Venus a former champion is not allowed to play on Centre Court...everyone has played but Venus..even Falconi has played on the big court.I think all these years she has always been tolerated but not embraced..
I guess they cannot have two black girls on big courts because no one will show up..

Venus plays Osaka tomorrow. Apparently, when Venus first played at Wimbledon, Osaka was not born yet.

They only schedule one ladies match on CC. On the opening day, it went to the most recent winner who is playing this year, viz. Kvitova
On Day 3 it went to british player who was seeded in top 10, viz., Konta. On Day 5, it went to another british player, who though unseeded is playing against a multi GS champion. I think Vee will be placed on CC for the manic Monday. I don't think it is complaint worthy. It always makes sense to give some priority to local players as most of the ticket buyers will be locals.

We've been over this every year at least for the last five years. Roger and Murray are the only ones who will play every match on CC. Period.

Very upsetting. Can only hope it's not as bad as it seemed. Wishing her a swift recovery and return to tennis.

I think on Manic Monday, they will schedule Roger, Rafa and Vee on the center court (assuming all of them are still alive) and relegate Andy to Court 1. This s because Roger will likely play Grigor and Rafa will likely play Muller and Vee likely will play PR, who is one of the top seeds. On the other hand, Andy will play against a very weak and dilapidated opponent and so they will move Andy to No. 1. But, let us wait and see.

I really never understand the childishness over what court players play on. It's not really a diss. Court 1. Nadal played 2 matches on Suzanne Lenglen at the last RG, and he's won it 10 times. Everyone has to get over the scheduling insults. Try being the people that try to schedule.

wow.. Karolina stunned by Rybarikova,I am not surprised because the latter loves grass and has always played well at Wimbledon.
I think Rafa is going to win Wimbledon...

its childish to you...tell that to Serena and Venus who have endured diss after diss from the officials at Wimbledon.

It is not like they put Vee on court #17 to reach which you have to walk a mile from the locker room. They put her on Court #1 which is the second best court on all days so far.

Diss after diss...really? Beyond not always being on Centre Court, and virtually no one is, what "disses" are you talking about?

I think the interesting matches are Venus v. Osaka, who is a brave and erratic player, and Ostapenko v. Giorgi. That could wildly go either way, or be a good fight.
