Very emotional match and presser for Venus but she comes through in straights. 4 mp's later and Cibby is still out there 7-6 in decider.
Cibulkova came through. I'm still hoping for a resurgence of Petkovic someday. That presser with Venus was hard to watch at the end. It seems to have been a tragic accident, and she's had rather more than her share of tragedy. I don't think it's callous to say that I hope she finds some distraction on the tennis court. The rest will only develop over time.

Laura Robson sent packing... I think she's done to be honest.

Ya, such a big disappointment. At one time, I thought she will be a force to reckon with even if she does not end up as
a multislam winner. Not sure whether everything is attributable to wrist injuries.

Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm. I strongly feel Caro has no chance of winning Wimbledon. Even though the ship may have sailed for her long ago, it is still possible that she may win a GS. But, it is not going to happen at Wimbledon. Her game is not suitable for grass, IMHO.

Babos will be a tough test for Caro in the opening round.

Doubles begins tomorrow. BMS & LS are going for Non-calendar year GS. I hope Makarova and Vesnina stop them. I no longer believe BMS is clean and so I am rooting against her.

Where does that come from?

I don't want to rehash things again. After the Russian hackers hacking into the database, it was well known that BMS was cheating with the support of some admins. There is a telegraph article on her that you can google up and get it.

Probably something worked over on TF, which was a bit more PED-obsessed, but not a rehash for all of us. I googled it. TUE exemption. People seem to see those as they will. Got it, thanks.

Kerber comes through. I thought she might trip up given her current form.

No big shocks... Puig out early again... I think she's been pretty disappointing since the Olympics, it should have been her springboard to bigger and better things.

Biggest story of the day is Aussie Rodinova saving 7 MPs in second set and then upsetting 16h seeded Pavly by winning the decider.

No, not the admins of this board. Actually, the WTA authorized doctor himself was recommending her stupid drugs based on her request. Later when it went for review by WADA, WADA said no to this nonsense business. However, they try to do the same thing again next year. Unbelievable doctor is in charge of the program at WTA.

Here is a link to NY Times Article on BMS and her doctor and the WTA

After being 'Bridesmaids in each of the four GS doubles finals' I am hoping Ash Barty and Casey Dellacqua can finally win a GS doubles title at Wimbledon.

Petra lost set one to Brengle. I didn't like seeing them close to each other in the draw. Head to head is 2-1 for Brengle. Petra may be headed home tonight.
