It seems like whoever won the tune ups on the WTA got booted already. So who won the all the grass court tuneups?
Petra = Birmingham
Donna = Nottingham
Pliskobot = Eastbourne
Mallorca = ?

Mallorca: Sevastova, who lost to Heather Watson last round. They're all out.

If you have not already done so, make sure to see the HSBC play of the day in the match between Pliskova and Rybra. Great point.
Also, see highlight of Grigor vs. Baghdatis match. Lots of fun points.

Rybarikova taking out Pliskova, I didn't see that coming. Opens up that side of the draw.

Friday at The Championships promises to be a cracker. Stellar line-up on Centre Court.

Good luck to the two British Ladies.

Konta looking impressive. UK bookies have made her the favorite.

Venus is absolutely clocking the ball today. She had the break advantage in the first but gave it back. Ended up winning the 1st set TB. I like Naomi's level. She know she's playing a 5-time champ and she's playing like it. Really bringing her best. You can tell she mirrors her game after Serena. If she tightens up those errors, man she will be really formidable. Too much early in the point ball bashing right now.

Another player I have had my eye on in this tournament and has made the 2nd week for the first time is Elina Svitolina,I am not saying she can make the final,though coming off the clay,she was a RG junior winner,she has made the transition to grass well.

This is third round where the seeds are supposed to collide. But more than half of them have already gone home.

Even though there are eight matches on Saturday, there is only one match in which both players are seeded. The schedulers had no
difficult problem in deciding to place Aga vs. Timea on CC.

FYI

From USA TODAY:

Palm Beach Gardens police released a video that shows Venus Williams was driving legally when her auto accident occurred
