He will most likely destroy everyone, continue to make up for the lack of success in his 30's.
You are, truly sleeping on Grigor. No way in Hell he should lose vs Sela..but just like Sock , Grigor typically finds a way to plays, down to the level of his competition.

I'm not underestimating him, if Fed shows up good it's a straight set match vs Sir (I'm not the mountain) Grigor

huh? why? Its fairly lively I would say.

I was half-kidding, but also half-serious. The serious part is that I'm just so tired of the saber-rattling (aka dick comparisons), mainly between Fedal fans but also with a touch of Novak fans thrown in. It doesn't do anything for me. On one hand, do your thing - I'm not one to try to control what people talk about. On the other, it is hugely dominant and any and all other conversation gets lost in the fray.

I mean, nothing new is being said that hasn't been said a thousand times before, and it is not like anything being said will impact the actual (unknown) results. But I guess that is the fun of it for those who participate. Its like a ritual that they get to re-enact over and over again.

Not happy with the grass warrior.

As awesome as he's been his serve isn't what it normally is. He's been broken 6 times in 8 grass matches so far this year against non-elite competition, definitely not what we would expect.

I would actually prefer Roger to gather steam slowly and peak for the business weekend. What happened in 2015? He was serving like a monster all the way through SF against Murray and then sucked in the finals. I would take the other way. No need to be brilliant against journeyman. It is enough to get the job done. (plus it has the nice added benefit of giving false hope to Nadalites :D)

Ah ok. I see. In a year or two you will miss it I think, the big 4 won't be around forever.

Punishment time.

1. Tomic fined $15,000 for lack of effort.
2. Medvedev fined $14,500. He was throwing coins at the umpire. Now being asked to throw dollars at ITF instead.
3. Head drops Tomic. This is a brand that would not drop Meldopova even temporarily.

Here are the latest odds after completion of two rounds:

1. Federer 9/4
2. Nadal 7/2
3. Novak 9/2
4. Andy 6
5. Cilic 16
6. Raonic / Sasha 30
7. Grigor / Tsonga 40
8. Thiem 55
9. Berdych 100

Next in line is Nishikori with 150.

Fed's and Andy's odds remain the same. Rafa's and Novak's have improved a notch.
With JMDP's exit, Birdman joins the party.

Yeah, no need to be. I mean, if he loses it was his knees so your bases are well covered in advance.

Stop to make silly comments and try to say something more constructive if you are able to do it which I doubt it

Missed a lot of tennis today due to meetings, but commies said that Roger wasn't so relaxed starting out today. Fair enough, after barely a match to start. And Djokovic looking like his head and his game are finally back in the same time zone.

I'll miss the big 4 (well, the big 3...not much of a Murray fan), but not the forum squabbles. Of course they'll be replaced by something else. That said, I must admit a sense of schadenfreude at the thought of Rafa retiring and leaving Carol with big emptiness...what will she do?

As for Rafa and Khachanov, I think Rafa will win it in 4 sets. Muller will be a bigger challenge, but I think it will be Cilic in the QF that he loses to.

Good points. I was away most of today, and looking back over the thread there was very little substance to tell me how the day went. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me who Ofner is and why he won. "Dick comparisons," indeed. It does get really tiresome, and hard to jump into the conversation, unless you want to rah-rah your own, or slag someone for dissing your favorite. There's still a lot of the field out there, and even other controversies, and we're mired down in the usual muck.

Roger will retire first so I'm sure you and others will be with a big emptiness too, what will you do? :p

Darth makes me feel the same inclination towards Fed. (He called him a "rat" above, and wished him out of the game. Even Carol's not that blatant.) I've said since the draw came out that Cilic is the biggest worry for Rafa. (At least to moving past.)
