I was half-kidding, but also half-serious. The serious part is that I'm just so tired of the saber-rattling (aka dick comparisons), mainly between Fedal fans but also with a touch of Novak fans thrown in. It doesn't do anything for me. As awesome as he's been his serve isn't what it normally is. He's been broken 6 times in 8 grass matches so far this year against non-elite competition, definitely not what we would expect.

I would actually prefer Roger to gather steam slowly and peak for the business weekend. What happened in 2015? He was serving like a monster all the way through SF against Murray and then sucked in the finals. I would take the other way. No need to be brilliant against journeyman. It is enough to get the job done. (plus it has the nice added benefit of giving false hope to Nadalites )

I'll miss the big 4 (well, the big 3...not much of a Murray fan), but not the forum squabbles. Of course they'll be replaced by something else. That said, I must admit a sense of schadenfreude at the thought of Rafa retiring and leaving Carol with big emptiness...what will she do?

As for Rafa and Khachanov, I think Rafa will win it in 4 sets. Muller will be a bigger challenge, but I think it will be Cilic in the QF that he loses to.

Good points. I was away most of today, and looking back over the thread there was very little substance to tell me how the day went. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me who Ofner is and why he won. "Dick comparisons," indeed. It does get really tiresome, and hard to jump into the conversation, unless you want to rah-rah your own, or slag someone for dissing your favorite. There's still a lot of the field out there, and even other controversies, and we're mired down in the usual muck.

Darth makes me feel the same inclination towards Fed. (He called him a "rat" above, and wished him out of the game. Even Carol's not that blatant.) I've said since the draw came out that Cilic is the biggest worry for Rafa. (At least to moving past.)
