Not happy with the grass warrior.

As awesome as he's been his serve isn't what it normally is. He's been broken 6 times in 8 grass matches so far this year against non-elite competition, definitely not what we would expect.
Yeah it looks like he has come back to earth somewhat after those ridiculous early months of the year.

This Lajovic is not a bad player. He has a big game, and his shot selection is good. Not sure whether he is only good on grass, but if he can improve his net game, he will be able to hold his own. I will be following him closely.

Remember Arnold's famous words from the Predator ."if it bleeds we can kill it"

Remember I said weeks ago I would still fancy a resurrected Djokovic over Fed in the semis

Fed wins 7-6 (0), 6-3, 6-2. A washout TB win in 1st set, one break win in second set and two breaks win in third set. That is a nice progression.
That was good real life match practice which was much needed after the short opener.

There is some light at the end of the tunnel, but we are still very much in the tunnel. Even if Feds level has dropped somewhat, its going to be a tall task.

Well if he is gonna chip that bh and slice it , Nadal and Djoker fans are gonna have a great next weekend...remember denis all of them (Roger, Luby, Front, Darth and GSM) have been saying it's the new improved backhand which I have to admit was sublime vs Rafa(AO) this winter and early spring ..not really needed today vs that journey man but he will bring it vs the big boys in the later rounds..

I got to believe big brother Zverev can't be that stupid to serve and volley Roger again

One of the best lines in Predator is when someone says to Jesse Ventura "Hey man, you're bleeding" and he just replies "I ain't got time to bleed". Awesome :D
Front ..that movie is an absolutely classic

As AP said, he is a journeyman, he is having a few nice years on tour nothing more. One of the things I liked about today's match is that it so clearly shows the difference between the absolute elite and someone who looks very talented but is nowhere near the elite level.

You fancy everyone vs Fed my man. You think Dimitrov will beat him too. Djoker isn't going to be at 2015 level and even if he was the Fed we saw earlier this year and in the Halle final wins that match and whoever he plays in the final.

Well, the question is will he bring the backhand, he had some pretty bad ufe's on that side today.

On Zverev: what else is the guy supposed to do? Rally Roger?

As pathetic as the Wimbledon grass is I'm not worried about Roger suddenly playing passive on that wing. Also slicing it vs Djoker isn't a bad play on occasion even on this garbage grass.

Also it is the ROS that is the biggest difference this year IMO. The passive and crappy returning is why he isn't at the 21-22 slam mark that he should be at.

I agree Fed is still the clear favorite. Djokovic is the only one that will trouble him. Perhaps Nadal will take one or two sets in the final too.

The slice is not a good idea against Rafa though!

Absolutely not, and Fed knows he can't slice it vs. Rafa. Killing the backhand like he has this year is a good idea. If he does that effectively it will be a short final as it should be.

I thought he was new on tour, which means there would be room for improvement. If he has been playing for a long time, then we can say he just had a good match
