These are some very bad examples of behavior from a young player with a good future. Didn't know he was such a hot-head. And I've never heard of anyone asking for the umpire to be changed mid-match. (Don't equate this with Nadal and Bernardes....It seems that players and umpires sometimes do take a break from one another.) And if you'd followed your own link, Medvedev wasn't just fined, he was defaulted out of the match for calling the umpire a racist. On the heels of Tomic's recent press conference, it's discouraging to see this kind of brattiness from young players. But, hey, Fed used to throw his racquet and got over himself. Maybe Medvedev can, too.
Who was the umpire that he called a racist

Once upon a time, NBC used to produce a half an hour show with highlights of day's action and what to look out for on the next day.
If you were busy working, that half an hour show was a great way to catch up on things. Now, of course we can find the highlights of individual matches on Wimbledon site. But, there are too many of them especially in the first week. It would be nice if someone (may be Pavlik) could "produce" a half an hour highlights video of each day.

Now, the first two rounds are done, we will now see on how Nadal will do at the rest of Wimbledon. He could potentially face in succession: Khachanov, Muller, Cilic, and Murray. That is a BRUTAL draw for him but like he alluded before the tournament he just wants to reach the second week and then he will be fine.

The one thing I have seen so far that I like is his aggressive mindset. I know his first two opponents weren't exactly world beaters by any stretch but he is still having the same mindset: go big on the serve, be aggressive on the backhand, and come forward to the net.

The question will be once he faces a quality opponent will he return to the passive mindset? We should find an answer by Friday and Monday.

One thing I have noticed too: He looks fresh both physically and mentally. Hopefully, it translates well on the court this fortnight

Rafa is coming to the net more often than I had seen him do before. It is of course a good thing. He won 27 out of 34 for 79% of net points won. While the percentage is not a big shock, the number of times (34) he is attempting this is certainly not normal for him. In the first match, his numbers for the same category is 19 out of 25 for a 76%. In the past I think he used to come to the net only about 10 to 15 times at most (I am saying off the top of my hat without looking at old stats). This is certainly a good improvement for him.

Interestingly at this point, the draws of Rafa and Roger look lot tougher than the draws of Andy and Novak. Andy has almost no one until SF (except for Tsonga may be). Novak has no one worthy on his path except for JMDP.

Carol..there haven't been a server who led the tour or grand slam champion since Sampras or Roddick
Maybe that was the reason why I wasn't watching tennis too much at that time...

True enough. However theoretical they were, Kyrgios and Wawrinka got knocked out of Murray's path, and Gasquet, Lopez out of Novak's. Lightened the load a bit.

Roddick was only number 1 for a few weeks but I think you missed one grand slam champion who hits quite a few aces (10,000 since his last match over his career) and was number 1 for 302 weeks. Hint, he out aced Roddick in the Wimbledon 2009 final. Ok, enough hints now.

We posters surely were caught unaware, but if Murray, being a professional with a full team behind him, was also caught by surprise than he more than deserved the loss.

But I saw that match, it was a very good match were Murray played much better than the "bad day at the office" motto. Zverev simply played the match of his life and a few guys could have beaten him that day.
I'm sure Sir Andy"ll defend his title the best way possible, he played well yesterday vs Brown, I don 't think the Fog can trouble him on grass

Has Roger dominated on grass like Rafa on clay? Is Roger the same age than Rafa?

Roger's dominance on grass is not quite Nadal at Roland Garros (nothing is), but it's up there with the most dominance we've ever seen on a surface.

And no, Roger is not the same age as Rafa but that didn't stop him from beating him all 3 times they played this year.

No, I am not worried about Serbians this year.

You should be. I am calling a notable improvement in Djokovic's play here at Wimbledon.

I think he will trouble Fed. It might not be enough, but the tide is turning.

Djoker' problem may be that he has a total cakewalk to the semi. That doesn't help matters if you play a great player in the semi. But yes I would be worried if that's the semi, Djoker still has great tennis in him. Also I hate to say it but I appear to be wrong about the draw for Fed, looks like the seeds are playing out and he is going to face Zverev, Dimitrov, Raonic/Sascha, and Djoker just to get to the final. That is tough, I expected a couple of them to be upset, still could happen but very unlikely.
