Was McEnroe being sarcastic?

Murray vs JJ in round four if they both make it.

Tsonga will lull him to sleep after those theatrics.

More heartache for Deliciano. The Lopez brothers  lost in the opening round.

Have you seen this? a old man trying to take the towel that Sock throw to a young guy

Jack sock offered the young guy another towel. Then, one after other, the other three GSs offered him a tower too and now that
young chap has towel GS. Also, Sock invited him to attend his further matches at Wimbledon. Apparently, the chap has already returned to Ireland, his home, but is expected to come back.

How is Delicious playing doubs when he retired from singles?
He said he had a pain in his left foot, not the result of an specific incident, and it just got worse, so he had to retire. It's possible it felt better today, as it was a non-specific injury and likely didn't want to disappoint his partner. It went 4 sets, so it's not like he just showed up for the prize money. I feel equally certain he didn't bail on the singles if he felt he could have continued in that match. He was very disappointed and said he doesn't know how many Wimbledon's he has left in his career.

Former upsetters Brown, Stakhovsky and Rosol are all done with Wimby'17. Darcis plays tomorrow, I think he faces Ferrer.

I didn't watch this part live. Apparently, Medvedev had some fight with the umpire and was throwing coins at the umpire when he was leaving after losing. He wanted the umpire to be changed during the match and was not granted his wish (does he think he is Rafa to get the umpire changed at his will?) Apparently, he had been earlier fined for calling an umpire a racist in some other tourney.

Now, the first two rounds are done, we will now see on how Nadal will do at the rest of Wimbledon. He could potentially face in succession: Khachanov, Muller, Cilic, and Murray. That is a BRUTAL draw for him but like he alluded before the tournament he just wants to reach the second week and then he will be fine.

The one thing I have seen so far that I like is his aggressive mindset. I know his first two opponents weren't exactly world beaters by any stretch but he is still having the same mindset: go big on the serve, be aggressive on the backhand, and come forward to the net.

The question will be once he faces a quality opponent will he return to the passive mindset? We should find an answer by Friday and Monday.

One thing I have noticed too: He looks fresh both physically and mentally. Hopefully, it translates well on the court this fortnight

It's only a brutal draw because of the way that Rafa has been playing at Wimbledon in recent years. As you say, it's up to him to play more aggressively and go bigger on the serve. If he's content to let these guys hit through him, then he deserves what he gets. He's got to be brave and trust himself. Khachanov is young and talented, but not yet a real fear. And Muller is having a career year, but he beat Rafa once, 12 years ago. (OK, at Wimbledon.) Cilic should be the worry. Rafa is looking fresh and fit. He's got his feet on the grass and the weather is hot this year. Maybe the grass will cooperate, too.

These are some very bad examples of behavior from a young player with a good future. Didn't know he was such a hot-head. And I've never heard of anyone asking for the umpire to be changed mid-match. (Don't equate this with Nadal and Bernardes....It seems that players and umpires sometimes do take a break from one another.) And if you'd followed your own link, Medvedev wasn't just fined, he was defaulted out of the match for calling the umpire a racist. On the heels of Tomic's recent press conference, it's discouraging to see this kind of brattiness from young players. But, hey, Fed used to throw his racquet and got over himself. Maybe Medvedev can, too.

He threw in 51 last year in his 1st R match v. Santiago Giraldo, which went 15-13 in the 5th. The most aces in a match were Isner's 113. Second most Mahut: 103. In the same match. If you play long enough, you're likely to hit a lot of aces, especially on grass.
