Murray looks like he's back to his best. He certainly looks calm and in control out there. Great to see! Nick has done well. Like Rafa, he's coming back and so he did very well in all his battles and scrapes and long-drawn out victories...

Great play from Murray tonight. Looks to be absolutely on top of his game. But of course he was playing a young, inexperienced player who certainly made him look good. Not saying he won't play this well against better players, but it almost certainly won't be so easy for him. Then again, this still went 6-3 7-6 6-3. Better than I expected if for no other reason than how great Murray was. But Kyrgios kept it interesting as well.

We have said this so many times in the past that now I want to see it first before believing it

Nick has all the ingredients and he certainly loves the big stage, but during commentary they said that he was asked for three words to describe himself. The first word that came off his tongue was "showman", then this was followed by "fighter" and "winner."

I hope he learns to drop the word "showman" somewhere along the way, and just pick one word instead: "fighter". Leave the showman BS to perennial losers like Monfools...

Awesome tournament by Nick - he has a bright, bright future. Murray just too good, though, as expected.

That's the most impressive Murray has looked since winning Wimbledon in 2013.

I do hope you're wrong in this assessment. He looks like the Aussie version of Monfils. Not a fan.

Let's see how well he does this year outside of Oz sid. It's one thing to be 19 and clueless, running on the emotion of the hometown crowd. Let's see if he has the character and fortitude to make his skill set work in the day to day grind of the tour.
