RE: NBA Playoffs

Holy crap. Well I guess the Clips had to return the favor after OKC's collapse in game 4. The refs played their part too. OKC caught a lucky break, especially with KD playing so poorly.

That's the NBA for you. Refs are always going to be a big factor. It should be mentioned that Paul was absolutely terrible and was the only reason this was close. He had an ok series until now but that one kills their chances

In fairness to KD, he was probably what got them back in the game by hitting two huge threes and a steal.

Disgraceful officiating and no Joey Crawford in sight.

Kind of figure the NBA will want a Thunder-heat final

I hate make up calls. Every single person saw that that ball came out of the OKC player's hand, but he was clearly fouled too. Two horrible calls...

Yeah to be honest, I thought Jackson was fouled too. But, if you're not going to give him the call, you gotta give it to the Clippers.

Exact same play at end of game 1 of clips and golden state series where Paul was fouled and lost the ball. They gave it to golden state as they had to

Doc Rivers just admitted in the press conference that Reggie Jackson was fouled on that play. So it's not completely scandalous.

For all the flack he gets, Russell Westbrook has been pretty amazing for most of these playoffs.

There was never a doubt he was fouled but there is no doubt it should have been Clippers ball after they missed it.

I am not sure BS. The ONLY purpose of the review is to see who touched the ball last, nothing else. And there is no Clipper hand near the ball. As a ref , you cannot say " Oops, we missed the foul, so let's unsee what we just saw" This sets a new precedent.

Good for Doc to admit it though. It WAS a clear foul.

Regardless if Paul didn't play like a total scrub all game the Clips win this. He hasn't made a conference finals in his career and he threw this opportunity away.

Yeah I'm well aware, which is what I mentioned in my first post. But I mean if we're going to cry "rig," we need to tell the whole story. To be honest I'm amazed they didn't call that foul on Jackson. It was so obvious. I had my TV on mute and was shocked to see them reviewing the call. I thought they'd blown the whistle for a foul.

Its funny , You and I had been discussing CP3 defensive skills.. That Foul was the game winner. Next time Chris make need to use his SF insurance coverage when driving with the ball st end of the game :laydownlaughing

Yeah he can't guard Westbrook at all and was extra bad yesterday at even making him work for his points. The foul wasn't bad defense, it was just an experienced player making an unbelievably stupid play. Similarly the guy suddenly became a turnover machine yesterday. The refs were clowns but Paul was the reason they were in a position to lose.

Darth, you know I respect CP3 as a leader and a superior floor General, he just had a bad turn overs and decision making that were crucial last night . I think that the clippers will try to run OKC out of the gym during the next home gamem it's a great series , I feel bad for Doc ,

Thank you for admitting it. As one of the few people who has watched Paul regularly instead of just believing the cliche hype, I have seen those types of error streaks from him numerous times. But like Peyton Manning's poor moments, his mistakes are always somehow blamed on others. Why? Because Paul fits everyone's comfortable little notion of how a point guard should be a short guy slowing the game down and yelling at everyone to set up a play.

Nonsense. I saw the replays from every angle and there was hardly conclusive evidence that the call should have been overturned to give LAC the ball. Kenny, Charles, and Shaq saw the same thing.

The people who are so "certain" about how it should have been LAC ball seem to be white sports journalists who want LAC to win so so very bad. It's a case of CP3 and anti-racism versus "out of control", unconventional point guard Russell Westbrook and the symbolism of Donald Sterling.
