He just isn't quick enough to stay in front of Westbrook (who is?) and Russ is also bigger and stronger and can back him down. He can stay in front of Durant no problem but he can't contest his shot and that's the problem.
Darth , I am only 6 feet tall, I can post up CP..CP is good for getting a lot of steals but his man on man defense isn't something that is going to give a player nightmares
Agree to disagree there. CP3 is one of the best defensive guards in the league but Westbrook is way too quick. Durant is too big and as mentioned before he should be posting up every time but that's not his game yet.
Darth,,, I can name about 10 other gurads in the league that are better defenders than CP3. He has quick hands but his feet are just average.. He doesnt have the height, strength, jumping ability or extraordinary quickness like a Rose or Westbrook to make an avg NBA guard worry.
However.. its just my opinon and I know how you are. stubborn to a fault.. you want CP3 to be your starting guard in the back court..
You sound like Cali. There is more to the game than athleticism. Paul has been 1st team all defense 3 times and. 2nd team twice. Paul is quick enough, great hands, great anticipation, tenacious, etc. a total athletic freak like Westbrook is tough for anyone to handle.

That's "one of the best coaches in the NBA" Scott Brooks for you...
