The girls are so ignorant. At least senile Sugarova knows who won last year :D

Finally got to see Genie actually play in this Tournament. It must have been on about the 3rd repeat they did of her Match. She looked good, but did seem to have a little let down on trying to serve the Match out. She has at least seemed to raise her tennis level back up after the slide down following her AO performance. Maybe that AO SF just came too soon for her? She and Simona should be interesting :D

not funny I will have a heart attack  Lucie match was tough enough..
I cant take Simo's matches easily. I wish I could :)

If you are totally invested in one player, that does make their matches much harder! So I tend to spread myself around a little :) Today I was happy that Simona won, but sad for Lucie. And also happy that Genie, Caro, and Agnieszka won. But I was somewhat sad about Annika Beck. It seems the German players have really fallen on hard times!

3 Early matches, all are very important.
We will see Karolina Pliskova try to knock out the #1 seed, that would be Li Na in Stadium 1
Svetlana will try to do the same to #8 seed Petra Kvitova in Stadium 2
Most interesting is the tough call between the Canadian and the Russian, can Aleksandra top Nastia?

I am going on a wild spree and calling all 3 matches.
Li will fall.
Petra will win.
The Canadians will keep their wild ride going, I am picking Alex for upset.

Lets go Ladies! Time to work.

I think the Women's half of IW is much more open than the men's side. I like a lot of players on both the Men's and Women's side. However, there are a few players on both sides that I don't want to win! So I guess I'm kind of a negative fan I root against a certain few players that I don't want to win.

I just need my player to lose a match or two so I can go back down to earth! :D :chillout:
And Annika is ok. Losing to Aga is no shame even with bagels. ;) She may play better next time, still young.

I am watching the replay of JJ vs Rybarikova. I am impressed with the range of shots Rybarikova possesses. Sort of like Aga, but not as consistent.

So happy to see Kleybanova still in it.

What do you think about JJ's back? The commentators had a lot of fun talking about it! Rybarikova was very inconsistent. And it was like she felt bad for JJ being "hurt" and didn't want to really push JJ in the Match.

JJ's back is a by product of aging. It is a shame because she has a solid game. She will lose to Woz unless she recovers because Woz will make her hit a ton of balls. I think Aga can beat them both to make the semi.

Bouchard vs Halep is a critical match. These two are expected to be the dominant players in the next few years. Let's see who can exert herself over the other. I pick Halep, barring injury.

Yes, this is an interesting match. Former number one who is regaining form vs a young talent who is trying to get a grip on her emotions and mentality.

Rose if you are around

I thought Genie played a great game against Errani yesterday.Okay she was broken when serving for the match.Genie then played a balanced, aggressive game to break Errani and win the match.
What I like about Genie is her composure on court and she is a player that fights.Genie still has area's in her game that needs improvement.Genie is still young and learning.

I am looking very forward to seeing Halep v. Bouchard. These two could be major forces in the women's game for the next six or seven years realistically speaking.

Si, I am not convinced Halep is physically 100 percent. If she is, she has a great chance of winning the title.

OK, early matches are on, the Canadian wave continues to roll, Wozniak won the first set 6-1

Li is holding strong, she won the first set 6-3
