Bouchard vs Halep is a critical match. These two are expected to be the dominant players in the next few years. Let's see who can exert herself over the other. I pick Halep, barring injury.

Si, I am not convinced Halep is physically 100 percent. If she is, she has a great chance of winning the title.

On court interview after she beat Lucie she said she is ok and has no problem with her leg. I didnt see any physical problem on tv.
I dont think she is the favorite to win the title but she can do it. The surface is not good for her style and there are some good players out there which were missing in Doha (Li, Masha). Aga will also know her better now. Simo is not my favorite to win the title but she can do it, she is special :) Genie will also be very dangerous.

Congrats to Wozniack for her great win over Pavlyuchenkova - very good win for her - first time in the round of 16 :) Watch out Li Na you have to play better than today to take out Alexandra :)

Stosur has a bad record against Pennetta and Pova. It looks like the end of the road for her

What a gunkfest Sharapova v Giorgi is. 2 breaks each already.

There are three things going on with this Sharapova/Giorgi match:
1) The constant breaks and lack of holding is terrible
2) Mary carillo's harping on Camilla's legal stuff...like a broken record
3) Did I mention the breaks of serve

Only reason to watch it is Giorgi is cute. But the match is pure unadulterated tripe of the highest order. 5 breaks now in 5 games.

It's funny, even with all the breaks I like Giorgi more than Errani and Vinci, think there's more talent there. Pennetta's the best of the Italians though
