Finally an apology from the Executive Gerard Tsobanian, Madrid Open,

" We sincerely apologize to all the players and fans who expect more of the Muta Madrid Open tournament. Not giving our Women's Doubles finalists the chance to address their fans at the end of the match was unacceptable and we have apologized directly to Victoria, Beatrix,Coco and Jessica.
" We are working internally and with the WTA to review our protocals and are committed to improving our process and this will not ever happen again".

Poor form by Emma Raducanu, and/or whoever is advising her:

Emma Raducanu’s US Open-winning coach reveals truth behind their split

I have also heard her father gives her bad advise, she has gone through too many coaches in her career, thus far. Emma needs a steady coach, not a coach that just lasts for one whole tournament like Grass, if she dosent do well he gets the sack.Emma is recovering from wrist surgery at present and will miss RG and Wimbledon, there is also talk she will need a procedure on her ankle which has been troubling her for sometime.

I think the biggest problem with Emma is between her ears. Her know-it-all attitude makes her extremely uncoachable. I hope that while she is recovering from injury, she takes a long look at the mirror and changes her attitude/evolves her game because if she doesn't, it will be more of the same when she returns on tour. Players have the film of Emma, and many have figured out her game.

BTW Emma Raducanu has just gone underway a procedure on her ankle that is her 3rd surgery this month, quite a toll for a 20 year old, hopefully the wrist surgery, on both wrists and the ankle procedure have been successful.

Dimitry Tursonov is onto his third player to coach in the last six months, first Emma Raducanu, then Belinda Bencic and now Ekaterina Alexandrova ( I wonder how long this will last )

Gabriela Sabatini was really good at her peak. It's a shame that her peak conincided with the height of the Graf-Seles era. Her winning only one slam doesn't do her career justice. Peak Sabatini would win 10+ slams in this era of women's tennis. Swiatek and Sabalenka would lose 9 out of 10 to peak Sabatini.
