At present Iga has no player to rival her, her game suits all surfaces, if she stays healthy, does not over play I will pick Iga.
Carlos seem to thrive at big events and soon the big three will be gone for good.Iga is good for now who knows with women tennis, there could be a young player that would blow everyone away in the coming years.I think Krejickova is a player that can stop Iga,the way she played her in Czech Republic showed if one stays with Iga,it's doable.

Barbora has just found her game again after having soo much trouble with her elbow, after having time off the tour, agree she has the game to upset Iga, as she showed recently, though can she do it consistently? that is the big question

That's great that she won a challenger. It begs the question why she wasn't playing quali's at those fall events after the USO.
Good question, I did some digging and could not find anything, she made the doubles final with Caty at the USO this year as well, she does do a lot of work as a tennis commentator, I do like listening to her.

Iga routed Coco in San Diego a couple of weeks ago, Coco won 3 games, Coco has some technical flaws in her game which needs to be addressed, a new coach, I feel can address and take her to the next level. On Osaka's present game No, her game has fallen off big time
lol, Coco doesn't need a new coach. She's 4th in the world, coming off a French Open final and a deep US Open run.

Coco is only 18yrs and has time to improve her game, and most players peak at 21yrs and 27yrs.

Just heard,

'Thanks to the recording of that disgraceful incident of the Chinese father hitting his daughter, Carol posted the video here yesterday,
the man has been arrested and likely will deservedly face a jail sentence. If I read anymore on the incident I will post it.

I get that you want to record it for evidence, but did he have to let it go on so long before he said something? I mean this girl got stomped before this dude let on he was filming them.

It is his voice shouting at the man, at the end, based on proximity to the camera mike. But it is strange that the inclination has become to record and observe. Back in the pre-iPhone days, wouldn't he just have tried to stop it? Or tried to have find someone in authority to?

Sorry, but she does. She continues to show up lame in most of these big matches where she is favored to do better. I applaud her parents for laying the foundation and getting her this far, but it's time to elevate her entire game, mentality and attitude to that of a winner. She should expect to win every time she steps on the court. That's the attitude of a champion.

I caught that, doesn't explain why he filmed so long before intervening. I mean once the father followed her to that bench, that was more than plenty to me.

“Don’t help; film” — that’s how I describe this all-too-frequent phenomenon these days.

It's unfathomable. Even before the time of all this fliming, there was that horrific incident in Central Park where a crowd of people watched a woman get gang raped.
