if they have broken up they are keeping it quiet.Donna is playing today,I wonder if Stan will be in her box.

Really happy for Barty/Azarenka they defeated the top seeds in their previous match.

Barty & Azarenka have had a fantastic doubles tournament as well has Elise Mertens and her partner Aryna Sabalenka who they could meet in the finals if they both get past their SF matches.

If Ash can get to the finals again with Azarenka and win,she will be in a way defending her title she won with Coco Vandeweghe last year.....though I will take one match at a time and I dont wont to hex them

I find it strange that Sabalenka retired in her singles match due to illness? though kept playing in the doubles?

With the retirement they was not any further news of the illness? could have been a viral illness which can last sometimes 24hrs or more.,though others found it strange she did not withdraw from the doubles as well.In saying that she she must have recovered enough in order to still be playing doubles.

Sabelenka lost to Putintseva in her 2nd RD match 63 76(3) she pulled the plug on singles,then played her doubles match.

RD1 Doubles match Mertens/Sabelenka (4) d Blinkova/Yang 63 64 and have played on to the s/finals.

Now athletes have been know to get IV fluids and medicines that us regular people do not get so I don't know how quickly she could recover and don't really know what sort of illness she had. It doesn't seem to have affected her the remainder of the tournament. So whatever she took for it worked.
