Players rarely comment as to why they parted,like you I thought their partnership was a good one.
BTW I am still seeing Simona Halep being coached by Darren Cahill,just watched them via video at the USO on practice court.

Cahill told a rather hilarious story about Simona on TV yesterday. I think we all know that Darren told her, a few years back, that, if she didn't get a new attitude, she could look for a new coach. Yesterday he said that one day, when Simona was giving him the business in the box, she called for a coaching visit on court, and he shook her off. She told the ump that she'd called for Cahill, and the ump said, "he's not coming." Bottomline, Simona won the match. Tough love. I think he's good for her.

Maybe I should have elaborated more regarding Simona and Cahill.They ended their coaching arrangement before the 2019 season began.Cahill citing he wanted to spend more time at home with his family than on the road all year.Simona is now being coached by Romanian Daniel Dobre since March this year.Personally I find it a bit strange to see him on court at the USO practice courts coaching her? I just wonder how Daniel Dobre feels about it.

Amanda Anisimova has wthdrawn from the USO after her father and longtime coach,Konstantin Anisimov,was found dead on Monday,her agent confirmed to ESPN.

Simona sure like Cahill. I think Cahill's reason is probably real one and it is probably him who ended the coaching relationship. But, now is USA, there is no extra travel for Cahill and may be he is coaching as a side gig just for the USO.

No doubt it will make Dobre feel bad.

Barty and Gauff just played an exho at the men's Winston-Salem event. Gauff won in the end, but it was good fun and both were charming. Nice way to ease Gauff into the USO.

Gauff is very mature for her age and is already good at talking with the media ,what to say and what not to say.I like that she seems grounded for such a young person.I hope she remains the same and succeed on her terms..

Sloane has completely checked out of this year and should just go get married before she decides that she wants to dedicate herself for the next 4-5 years .

No way could Kamau fix Sloane's game by getting back with her for the USO.she lost yesterday,her whole year has been a disaster losing to players early she should not have lost to,yesterday was a good example.It will take time to rebuild,though it does seem in the past,their partnership worked.It will be a work in progress,though at the end of the day it is up to Sloane.
