Sharapova splits with Sven. I think this is the beginning of the end for her.

Like it's his fault she's a hot mess. She looks like Pliskobot changing her coach after each epic fail in a major.

A new upcoming Danish tennisplayer you might be interested in is Clara Tauson (15) who is climbing the junior rankings and the normal WTA rankings - where she entered last november and currently ranked #739 after winning her first ITF senior title and runner up in another - well here is the junior rankings as of today - #14 giving admission to all junior slams:

Just an update on Clara Tauson

After her third title in a week - 2 single and 1 double - Clara Tauson has risen/wll rise to #9 in the junior rankings - pretty good me thinks. 25-2 combined singles/doubles since late February. ;)

Madison Brengle: American to sue WTA and ITF for 'injuries caused by drug testing'. She's suing them for 10M apparently.

HBO is doing a series "Being Serena." This is a rather long profile piece in the NYTimes, where she talks about basically everything. It's very interesting.

Yesterday (my time) Caroline Wozniacki and Venus Williams met for a show match - 16 years after their first meeting at a showmatch at the same spot.

They had a press conference before the match

Venus: ''We have the pictures and we have the memories. It was a whole special experience. I do not think such things happen very often. So we will always have memories of our career together. It's an amazing story how we meet here now. It's just something special.''

Earlier Monday Caroline was honored in the City Hall for her tennis achievements. Piotr also got a prize for his efforts.

Next one is special as honored guests are treated with the City Halls famous pancakes - so Woznicki had a go - hope they tasted ;)

In front of a great homecrowd of 12500 Wozniacki won 64 63
(The folowing is taken from different sources as I was placed to far away from the court but enjoyed it anyway)
Caro’s father Piotr was awarded the High Performance Prize for 2018 and Caro had this to say about it:

It means a lot that my dad has also been honored. He is really a very big part of my success, so it’s great that he was also celebrated today.

When it comes to the actual exhibition match, the score is not important, as Caroline’s brother Patrik pointed out:

Neither player gave 100%. You don’t in an exhibition. No one wants to see three shots and a winner. They want rallies. They played an entertaining match.

About her injury
Patrik Wozniacki: "Caro's still getting treatment for her stomach muscle, but it's responding very well. She hit ten aces, so it's no longer a big problem."

A little stats
Stats: Wozniacki - Williams Points - 67-50 1. serves won - 30-30 Aces - 10-4 DF 4-4 BP's won - 2-8, 0-0 UE's - 12-25

Did you get to speak with her Leif?
Nah I'm not that important but I got 8 photos with her signature on via TV2s journalists and Patrik Wozniacki (spoken to him last year). We were placed a little too far from the court to take good pictures. I'm trying to compose an article for Tennisavisen.dk where people who has a picture and a story can win a signed photograph like these

Today the Danish queen Margrethe 2. has made official that The Order of the Dannebrog, a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V, is to be given to Caroline Wozniacki. In our days, the Order of the Dannebrog is a means of honouring and rewarding the faithful servants of the modern Danish state for meritorious civil or military service, for a particular contribution to the arts, sciences or business life or for those working for Danish interests. It looks like this:

Congrats to her well deserved. Similar to the MBE order in England. So know she has to come to Copenhagen again and thank the queen - well a meeting of two queens - not bad eh?

Serena will play FO. Her coach thinks she’s ready to be competitive.
