Only tuned in at the end of that. Ugh. Seems Stephens can't play in windy conditions from what I saw of it. Over hit loads of balls and netted tons of easy ones too.

All I can say after watching Sloane's performance is that Paul has his work cut out with Sloane

Terrible loss and performance by Sloane, I mean, who loses to Wozniacki 6-1, 6-0 nowadays.

Well I'm pleased with what I saw - an almost flawless gameplay from Caroline and the opposite from Sloane. Well it says a lot about Sloane - she only has herself to blame for this and of course effective play from Caroline. Time for a nice cold Carlsberg - and no I don't drink during a match :)

Some tweets after the match:

Chris Evert ‏@ChrissieEvert 35 min.

Nice to see @CaroWozniacki play so well... Solid, consistent, focused...
fra Sunshine Parkway, FL

Howard Bryant ‏@hbryant42 40 min.

"This match could take less time than it takes Rory McIlroy to play three holes of golf." - Rennae Stubbs savaging Sloane in the booth

Ben Rothenberg ‏@BenRothenberg 11 min.

Wozniacki came straight into press right away, still wearing her match outfit, which she never does. Not sure she broke a sweat tonight.

She has a lot of regrouping to do, though Caroline was clinical in her resolve.

Agree with Caroline.Still if your coach comes on court after the 1st set and points out what he wants to do and Sloane does the complete opposite in the 2nd set? I am at a loss for words quite frankly.

Both good picks. Williams v. Cibulkova could be a bit epic. Fashionista…I'm never good at keep track of these things. Who is your favorite player?

I dont think Sloane has ever taken a set off Caroline

You are right about that, Sloane has only come close once! A tie breaker in New Haven last year.

Thanks...my memory is kind of still intact:)

Not taking anything away from Caroline, but she might as well have been playing a statue for all the resistance Sloane put up on some of those points. At least Tomic had the excuse that he was coming back from an injury to explain his poor play. Unless she was secretly injured, what excuse does Sloane have for her lackluster play?

I'm happy for Caro :D And Sloane just has IMHO a bad attitude. If you noticed when her Coach came out after she had lost the 1st Set 6-1 she just sat there staring blankly straight ahead. She didn't say a word to her Coach and in fact didn't even look at him! And went on to lose the 2nd Set 6-0 :snigger
