This is actually exactly how it played out last year, like you said Calvy, she had a couple of close matches but always picked up when she was playing another top player.
That said, Stosur will probably face Serena, I don't think Coco will give much trouble to Sam. if that happens, Serena better pick it up, Samantha is no C. Garcia.

Masha just started against Lucie. This one is worth watching.

S:Do much for your theory Stosur isn't C Carcia, and Serena better pick it up.

Hope some of you saw this excellent match Stosur v Coco and the qualifier won 57 75 75 in a match ending here 02.30 Sunday morning. Well done Coco - Serena up next.
Yes I saw a good portion of the match, the last set mostly, Coco excelled. I saw a little of her stronger play at Indian Wells, and thought, she is moving better around the court and with her wicked serve, perhaps this year she will put the pieces together. Last night and morning she did, great win for her. That is the beauty of living on the west coast of Canada, time difference in my favour on occasion!:clap

Well apparently Sam is no Coco and neither of them is Serena.

Maddie needs more work on her movement.I know she is a tall girl though Li is just exploiting this area.Actually Maddie reminds me of Davenport in ways.

I have not seen Si Si on board for a long time.

Does any one know what exactly is wrong with Halep? Why did she
withdraw from Miami? Is she really injured? or she got tired playing in
too many tournaments and injury is just an excuse to cover up fatigue.

You just need to back up a few pages to find your answer, the reason was stated as an ingrown nail that required surgery.

I was hoping for a Sernea/Sam match-up...
Oh well!
Poor Coco has no chance, but isn't that what I said about her facing Stosur?

Serving at 5-6 in the first set, where Elena is most prone to lose her game and Aggie is most dangerous, Elena could not hold and lost the set.

I only tuned into Vee's match late so I could not comment on her performance so far
Have you been watching her match at all?

So who initiated the 10 minute heat break?
