Sharapova and Radwanska are tied at one set a piece.

We are dead even in the decider at one game a piece and 83 points each, on serve.

Maria needs to cut the double faults, already has 10, one can not donate points like that to Aga.

Maria managed 2 points in 2 games after leading 5-2 and serving for the match, she will serve for it again.

Aga will be kicking herself from the last game. At 15-40 she had the game... great recovery and lob by Maria though.

Game set and Match Maria!! One thing for sure, she always back herself on the big shots even if she's not executing.

It was a very entertaining match, wild swings and momentums.

Maris found a way to win but she really needs to cut those double faults.

Simona and Maria leading the Red group.

Also worth to note:

BMS/Safarova beat Mugu/CSN in doubles competition.

She won't cut back on the double faults unless:

a) she corrects her ball toss

b) plays more of a percentage on second serve.

One thing she does is go after the second serve - it's high risk but the way she backs herself is pretty gutsy. She's not afraid of making mistakes. I guess in Maria's case, fortune favours the brave more often than not. It did tonight.

It was a gutsy win from Sharapova, yes there was plenty of rust still in her game, which is understandable seeing she hasn't competed since Wimbledon,in saying that Aga had her opportunities but could not convert.

The match I was most impressed with was Simona v Flavia,Simona played one of her best matches this year defeating Flavia 60 63,quite a turnaround from their last meeting at the USO this year. One thing that impressed me was Halep's fhand,Halep started like a house on fire,Flavia had no answer,Flavia improved slightly in the 2nd set, though it was her UFE count that let her down badly throughout the match.Halep didn't allow Flavia into the match.Well done Halep.

Masha is all out all the time. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn't. But nobody can tell her that she is not brave enough or doesn't fight till the end.

Congratulations to both winners today.

I just want to add that considering that Masha hasn't played a full match since Wimbledon her shot timing and match routine are of course not the best - The result is therefor amazing - We'll see how it goes in the next 2 matches - I hope that she can win at least one more and hopefully that would be enough to reach the next stage - Whatever the case I am sure that it is a joy for her fans to see her on court again since it has been a while

Petra was on verge of losing in straights to Angie but she broke in the 10th game of the second set to stay in the match, she needs to do a P3tra to get this one.

I tell you my take on this, with Serena and Caro not here, there is very little chance anyone can take Masha out, I just don't see anyone doing it.

But then, that's why we watch... I didn't think Petra would lose to Angie in straight sets.

The matches will get more exciting from here on. I am envisioning an Aga win over Flavia and a Masha win over Simo, that would level Aga against Simo in the last match.

Things don't always go as expected and although I of course hope that Masha can win even the match vs Simona Halep I'm not at all that sure - So I won't sell the skin..... and so on

Halep to finally get her first win over Sharapova, their last couple of encounters have gone the full distance, going on both players previous matches,Halep played a much cleaner match, regardless of the fact that was Sharapova's first match in sometime.

Aga to defeat Flavia,
