Not that it matters since they all start from scratch but I'm proud to see that my favorite Maria Sharapova only has a negative H2H to one player in this field  and that is Flavia Pennetta

The courts in Singapore really suit Halep's game,going on last year's results.Halep did have an achilles injury,hopefully that has healed.I also hope the added pressure of being the No 1 seed dosen't affect her.Last time these two players met at the s/finals at the USO,Halep was flat as a tack,Flavia had a easy win.I also feel since Darren Cahill has been advising Halep,she has been playing more offensively,which is needed on hard courts.I will pick Halep in 3 sets.

 

Even though Sharapova has a 12-2 H2H over Radwanska,her lack of match play for me is a concern,due to injury.Playing Radwanska will be a big test.Radwanska has found her game and confidence during the grass season,she had poor results prior to the grass season.To me Radwanska is one of the form players going into the championships this year.I will pick Radwanska in 3 sets.

Interested to read that Kvitova and Radwanska are the only two players to participate in every WTA Finals since 2011.
