Glad the Germans went out. Didn't deserve to go through just like they didn't deserve to win the WC final. This time no amount of stoppage time was enough to make a lucky escape. LOL

Now if only Brazil and Spain go out, it'll be a party.

Gabriel Jesus is not that good a striker. He may mature with time but he does not look ready for now. I think Brazil needs consistent goalscorers if they want to win the world cup.

Beautiful pass from Coutinho. Not dissimilar to Banega's pass to Messi in yesterday's match

Coutinho is truly running the show, while Neymar is trying useless dribbles. Neymar seems to think that he has to impress all the time, and he is playing to the gallery.

Neymar has lost the "direct-ness" in his play that he acquired after his first season with Barca. That's what made him one of the best in the world, as he had finally added substance to his flashy style. He seems to have regressed at PSG and resorted to his old self. It doesn't help that he's A) clearly still not a 100% following his lengthy injury and is struggling particularly with his explosiveness, and B) is trying to do way too much. The luxury Neymar has in Brazil that Ronaldo and Messi don't have with their respective national teams is, he doesn't have to carry the team. He doesn't have to always make something happen. He can just fit into the system, play well, and they'd have a great chance at winning.

That said, I think if Marcelo's WC is over, in addition to Douglas Costa's injury (he's out for the rest of the tournament), Brazil may struggle.

LOL@England's cakedraw. No Brazil, no Germany, No Messi/Ronaldo to deal with. England's golden generation (Lampard, Gerrard etc) will be wondering why they didn't get such a draw when they were playing for England.

If England doesn't make the SF atleast, they should just quit football.

Mbappe looks even better than I thought. Him and Neymar will be replacing Messi and Ronaldo. Neymar could end up being overshadowed by Mbappe, if Mbappe can go to a better club side. I wish he could go to Liverpool. Just a wish.

This is the first time I see France truly expressing their talent. They look phenomenal.

France look very clumsy at the back. With teams that press harder, they won't get away with that.

Totally dominated in every area. Argentina are lucky to be within a couple of goals. Only Di Maria has played well for Argentina.
Di Maria is amazing on the wings.

Some people are even speculating that it is his last match for Argentina, which I think is a bit exaggerated. I think he can still play in another World Cup at 35.

What a shame the GOAT didn't win a WC. Argentina don't deserve him.
