Not exactly the best timing. Diva Nick making news again.

SYDNEY — Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has split with coach Todd Larkham less than a week before the start of Wimbledon, saying on his website Tuesday that the pair "mutually agreed" to part ways.

The 20-year-old Krygios says "it's never an easy decision to end a coaching relationship ... but I feel that this is the right decision for me at this time."

He said he'll work with Tennis Australia coaches through Wimbledon and will look at hiring a new coach after the tournament ends.

Larkham worked with Kyrgios for seven years during the Canberra player's junior years. He rejoined his team after Kyrgios' surprising run to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon last year which included an upset win over Rafael Nadal in the fourth round.

Thanks for that. With Nick, I kinda feel there's two directions he can head. I hope he picks the right one...

Wow, that brings back all kinds of memories! Boris Becker had just won Queens a couple days before and BJK gave him a nod as a WC to win Wimbledon! He was assisted by the wettest fortnight in memory; was rushing down the stairs like a waterfall! The grass was soft, choppy, slick, brown, and a perfect venue for players who did little but slash and dash! Curren took out McEnroe and Connors on his way to the final and Becker was saved by the rain against the Swedish wildman, Anders Jarryd! I was so hoping he could rekindle their dominance at Wimbledon, but years later it's well known the gamesmanship of Becker to help him in matches against superior players like Edberg, Wilander, and the rest of the Swedish DC team! :nono  :dodgy: :cover

As Fiero posted above, the Wimbledon seedings are set (unless there are some withdrawals before the draw is made). You can find the break-up of the points used for determining the seeds as per the formula here. The first number is the ATP ranking points, the second number is the sum of all grass points earned in the last 12 months and the third number is 75% of the BEST grass points earned in ONE event in 12 months prior to that.

This slightly shuffles the ATP ranking order, but not by much. Ignoring those changes that does not really put one in a more or less disadvantageous position for the purposes of draw, the major winners and losers are noted below.

1. Winners: Deliciano Lopez and John Isner. Loser: David Goffin

Deliciano and Isner managed to get into top 16 and pushed Goffin (who is in top 16 as per ATP ranking) to 17.

2. Winners: Victor Troiki and Ivo Karlovic Loser: Pablo Cuevas

Troiki and Dr. Evil managed to get into top 24 and pushed Cuevas (who is in top 24 as per ATP rankings) to the 25-32 range, meaning they don't have to face a top 8 seed in the 3rd round.

All other changes in the seeds do not have any ramifications as far as gaining an advantage in the draw is concerned. For example Milos Raonic got seeded as 7th pushing David Ferrer to 8th. However, it does not give him any advantage as far as the draw is concerned. There are also other such perturbations which does not amount to anything and so I am not mentioning them.

For Men, the committee does not "subjectively" decide the seedings and so the above is official. However, Wimbledon will "officially announce" the seeds only a day before the draw ceremony (as they want to wait for possible withdrawal announcements from injured players).

Apparently, there is something wrong with the calculation made in the link given above. Goffin did not lose out. He is seeded 16th. Isner did not win, he is seeded 17th. Also, there are several other errors. For example, Tsonga does not get the coveted seed #12. It went to Simon instead. This is what happens if I rely on somebody else's calculation instead of doing it myself.

For a correct list of seeds, see the official Wimbledon page or the "Wimbledon 2015 (Men)" thread by Kirijax.
