Those losses in 2011 and 2014 relatively easy to deal with as they are to Fedal. This year, I think the inability to grab the RG title would sure affect him psychologically. So, I would say that he is definitely not winning WImby. But, I will not be bold enough to predict that he won't make SF like the other poster did.

I'm not sure if the defeat to Stan will be a big problem for Novak, given that he has a long time to absorb it (which can work against him too, granted) but I wonder how his training is going, and whether he'll play an exo somewhere next week, just to get a facsimile of match conditions on grass. It's a long break and I would have thought he'd need some kind of matches to prepare for Wimbledon...

Training would not be a problem as he usually does not play before Wimby in warm-ups. But, just like before he plays in some exhibition mathes (boodles) in London the week before Wimby.

The point is not so much about loss to Stan (this particular person). The loss would be difficult to overcome, even if it were against say Tsonga or Monfils. The point is that he almost had the trophy on paper and missed it. In case of previous RGs 2011 and 2014, it was not clear whether he had it on paper to begin with.

That's true...

The seedings are locked in at Wimbledon for the men anyway:

1. Serbia - Novak Djokovic
2. Switzerland - Roger Federer
3. UK - Andy Murray
4. Switzerland - Stan Wawrinka
5. Japan - Kei Nishikori
6. Czech Rep. - Tomáš Berdych
7. Canada - Milos Raonic
8. Spain - David Ferrer
9. Croatia - Marin Čilić
10. Spain - Rafael Nadal
11. Bul. - Grigor Dimitrov
12. France - Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
13. France - Gilles Simon
14. So. Africa - Kevin Anderson
15. Spain - Feliciano López
16. Belgium - David Goffin

17. US - John Isner - 18. France Gaël Monfils - 19. Spain Tommy Robredo - 20. Spain Roberto Bautista Agut - 21. France Richard Gasquet - 22. Serbia Viktor Troicki - 23. Croatia Ivo Karlović - 24. Argentina Leonardo Mayer - 25. Italy Andreas Seppi - 26. Australia Nick Kyrgios - 27. Australia Bernard Tomic - 28. Uruguay Pablo Cuevas - 29. Spain Guillermo García-López - 30. Italy Fabio Fognini - 31. US Jack Sock - 32. Austria Dominic Thiem

I think Seppi jumped 20 places in the ranking due to his showing in Halle! Congrats to Federer and Murray who won at Gerry Webber and Queens respectively! The Wiki draw for Wimbledon has been started, but seeds the only thing on it: - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Wimbledon_Championships_%E2%80%93_Men%27s_Singles -

As Fiero posted above, the Wimbledon seedings are set (unless there are some withdrawals before the draw is made). You can find the break-up of the points used for determining the seeds as per the formula here. The first number is the ATP ranking points, the second number is the sum of all grass points earned in the last 12 months and the third number is 75% of the BEST grass points earned in ONE event in 12 months prior to that.

This slightly shuffles the ATP ranking order, but not by much. Ignoring those changes that does not really put one in a more or less disadvantageous position for the purposes of draw, the major winners and losers are noted below.

1. Winners: Deliciano Lopez and John Isner. Loser: David Goffin

Deliciano and Isner managed to get into top 16 and pushed Goffin (who is in top 16 as per ATP ranking) to 17.

2. Winners: Victor Troiki and Ivo Karlovic Loser: Pablo Cuevas

Troiki and Dr. Evil managed to get into top 24 and pushed Cuevas (who is in top 24 as per ATP rankings) to the 25-32 range, meaning they don't have to face a top 8 seed in the 3rd round.

All other changes in the seeds do not have any ramifications as far as gaining an advantage in the draw is concerned. For example Milos Raonic got seeded as 7th pushing David Ferrer to 8th. However, it does not give him any advantage as far as the draw is concerned. There are also other such perturbations which does not amount to anything and so I am not mentioning them.

For Men, the committee does not "subjectively" decide the seedings and so the above is official. However, Wimbledon will "officially announce" the seeds only a day before the draw ceremony (as they want to wait for possible withdrawal announcements from injured players).

Kei Nishikori expects to be fine for Wimbledon His withdrawal at Halle was just a precautionary measure (calf injury).

No word about Tsonga and Monfils yet. I think Tsonga (abdominal injury) is in serious danger than Monfils (knee issues) of dropping out.

The seeded players list will be "officially" announced on Wednesday. The only real thing that we are waiting for is the draw. The draw ceremony will be at 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, the 26th of June.

Hope Petra draws Novak and Murray in the same half.

I thought Dustin Brown is in the main draw. But he is not. He is playing in the qualifying next week. Other interesting names in the qualifying draw include A. Falla, the guy who gave fits to Fed in 2010.
Also, Jurgen Melzer is there and he is drawn to play his brother G. Melzer in the 1st round of quals.
Some other names that sounded familiar to me are Paul Henri Matthieu, Somdev Devvarman, Frank Dancevic, M. Berrer (the Rafa Slayer at Doha), Zeballos (the Rafa Slayer on clay some years ago).
I don't recognize more than two thirds of the names in the qualifying draw.

Did he not go back to Majorca even for a brief period for some R&R? What a hard worker!

I wish it was televised,I would be interested to see if Rafael will play more aggressively like he did two weeks ago in Stuttgart.

"the boodles"..still sounds slightly amusing.

I agree it's hard to take seriously with that name. Oodles of poodles. Oh, well, it's just an exho.
