I guess the other thing we're waiting for is to see how they'll decide the seedings.

How they will decide the seeding is well defined and we already know it. What exactly it will be is unknown at this time, as we don't have full information available to compute it. However, the top four is expected to remain altered and there will be some minor changes (nothing of the sort that causes huge controversies) in the remaining seeds.

The take the top 32 players as per the ATP ranking list that comes out on 22nd June 2015.
Those 32 players will be the seeded players at Wimbledon, but the seeding will be determined
as per the following formula

ATP ranking + 100% of all grass points earned within a year prior to start of Wimbledon 2015 +
75% of the BEST grass points earned in ONE event in the 12 months prior to that.

How about a Federer-Nadal match in the 4th round?

Rafa's seeding is expected to be 11 (with only Grigor passing him through the formula even though ranked below). Players seeded 9-12 play players seeded 4-8 in R16 on the People's Monday. So,
no you won't be seeing a Fedal match in 4th round. :nono

Then Djoko-Stan in one half and Muzza-Fed in the other please.

Beating Andy and Novak will be little too much to ask of Fed. So, I would prefer Stan in Fed's half
(and also preferably Andy in the finals).

I want a Nadal-Federer quarter-final. Would be great to see Rafa have a go at Murray in the semis... :popcorn

Lol, in all honesty, I think Roger would give him the match of his life at Wimbo.
It would probably be a five set affair that would hinder the winner in the next round no matter who won it.
Just remember what it took from Novak to beat him last year.

Actually, I would not mind it either. Better than facing Berdych for example.

Well, you say that now, but although this is a lowbrow Rafa we're watching, I still wouldn't be worried about a meet at any major with Fed. As I said before, it's just what the doctor ordered to put a bit of colour back in young Rafa's cheeks...

But if Nadal loses to Federer, then we know the wheels (legs) really have come off? Maybe not so much if the match is on grass.

Surely not so much on grass. Don't let the Federer people hear you say that Federer beating Nadal on grass means that the wheels have come off for Rafa. They're reluctant to believe that Nadal beating Roger in 2008 means that he actually had grass chops. :snicker

I wouldn't say "grass chops;" just beating his pigeon! To me it was shocking because I wasn't paying much attention to the game after Hingis retired there for a while! I just figured it had to be an upset until I started looking at the cold, hard record! Roger had been having problems with that kid for a while; clay just one advantage! The best chance Roger had to win was on a fast court and to finish it in 4; if he couldn't do that, it was unlikely he'd have the gas to complete the job like Nole! I have a faint recollection of him being up 2 sets to 0 on Nalbandian at the 2005 WTF, only to let it slide in 5! He made comment of a bad ankle, but the match should have been over long before it made a difference! We were starting to see chinks in his armor and most of us weren't acknowledging it! Roger's best last chance to win a major was against Nole last year! He has the most success at "moments" in time at majors; '11 FO comes to minds! HOW? Flashes of greatness, only to be wasted in the final against Rafa who owns him lock, stock, & barrel! :cover :nono

Trust me, if Rafa loses to federer in a slam, the wheels have come off. It would be worse than the plus-2 with FFS. It means that Rafa is even further away than we think he is...

All this Nadal fan nonsense. I don't see Rafa making too many Wimbledon finals these days. Doubt the match would be as straightforward as you think. Roger should feel super embarrassed if it was.

Roger hasn't beaten Rafa in a slam in almost a decade. Trust me, if the Ageless One was to beat Rafa over five, we'd all be looking closely and wondering how the feck that was possible. A match against Roger would be just the tonic, at this stage...

I could think of a horde of worse things than losing to Federer. Darcis, Rosol and Kyrgios to name a few.

I'm wondering how it's possible to lose on clay to Fognini. Losing to a 7 time Wimbledon champion, at Wimbledon, when Rafa is in the worst form of his life is hardly disastrous. I mean, it might be disastrous for you to stomach, and it might be a disaster on the forums having to deal with unbearable posts, but realistically, it's no disaster.

I'm not sure where the word disaster was used, but when Rafa finds Roger over the other side of the net in a slam, he relocates his banjo. I'd be very shocked if Federer beat Nadal at any major, even more shocked than the FFS result, or Kyrgios, or even Darcis, to be honest...

It's kinda based upon the fact that Roger brings the best out of Rafa. You probably haven't noticed this, but Rafa tends to enjoy playing against him. Against others, he'd be more likely to tighten up, but against Federer?

:nono

He'd be more likely to find his range. Get it now? ;)

You know Nadal has reached his nadir when fans speak about a quarterfinal match with Fed as the hope for getting things turned around.

I think this year it's about Murray, Novak, and Fed (maybe Berdy?), with some potential surprises from some of the big servers if they catch fire. Will be interesting to see how Novak regroups after the French.
