I have an additional reason to believe that Wawrinka will play well on grass, apart from winning the FO and being in great form. Yes, he isn't that impressive on fast courts since the counter punching can really hurt him, but it isn't true that he can't take big cuts at the ball even on grass. Against Federer last year, he just faded after winning the first set, probably due to playing 3 days in a row (if I am not mistaken ). I am not saying that Stan would have won, but could have pushed Federer a lot further than he did. And god knows how scary it gets when he goes deep in a slam.
By the way, can Wawrinka get a #3 seeding at Wimbo if he were to win a warm up event? Have Murray and Stan even signed up for any at all?

Murray and Wawrinka are both listed as playing Queen's. (Along with Nadal, Dimitrov, Cilic, Raonic, Kyrios and Hewitt. Halle lists Fed, Kei, Birdy, Monfils, Tsonga, Thiem, Gulbis and Tomic, FYI.)

Both with impressive draws! Looking forward to monitoring scores and the progress of each pros preparation for Wimbledon! Still no NOLE! Some do it that way; Borg and Sampras at the top of the list! :popcorn

Sampras always played Queens, but Borg trained privately for Wimbledon.

They're both good fields, and I read somewhere that Nole was considering a wild card for Queens, I wonder if any of his fans might know more on this...

I thought he had, but hadn't remembered him winning! I blanked out there! :cover :nono  The last time I really cared about Queens and watched it all; Lendl beat McEnroe and Becker to win in '90! Saw a bit of Dimitrov over Lopez!

Even though Queen's tourney got promoted to 500 from 250, they decided to cut down the draw size to 32, to get rid of boring early round matches. They have only 4 wild cards available. Three of them are already announced. One went Hewitt, as he has announced his impending retirement at AO 2016 and as he is a former champion of Queens. Two were given to British players James Ward and Kyle Edmunds. I suppose they are waiting for Novak to let them know before giving the last wild card to a British player ranked #1049.

Not surprised at reward for Ward! Has hurt us here in the States in DC the last 2 seasons! :cover :puzzled :nono

I would vote to upgrade Halle, as Germany does not have a masters or any other big tournaments anymore.

That'll be interesting. Has he ever commentated before? If Jimbo is back, the BBC will have a strong team...

Djoker on idiotic tactic ? All are playing, doing aerobic, getting stamina, but he is at bay, and he lost because he ran out of energy.

At least Novak finds his grass feet a lot faster than Fedal these days, but I do agree it is a tad risky, his fans should just hope he doesn't get some big hitter hell bent on beating the world nmber one. Both Federer and Rafa have been eliminated from Wimbo before the quarters in recent years at least once, is your boy immune to it? :D

Well he lost RG and Laureus for 2015 in Pariz. With loosing Wimby, this season would be another missed oportunity.

Hewitt and Mahut were given wild cards into the Wimbledon Main Draw. Both certainly deserve, Hewitt due to his impending retirement and Mahut due to his recent grass title.

Also, three British players (James Ward, Kyle Edmund and Liam Broady) got wild cards.

Three more wild cards will be announced later.

I guess the other thing we're waiting for is to see how they'll decide the seedings.

How about a Federer-Nadal match in the 4th round? That would get some attention maybe. ;)

Then Djoko-Stan in one half and Muzza-Fed in the other please.
