Robin was a clown and dislike by all Nadal fans after 2007. That's not a discovery nor has anything to do with your position that tented correctly pointed out to you that it was wrong.

I've actually never called anyone who beat Federer a clown for your information. I do however, often call Federer himself a clown for how he has played complete with lots of fitting clown images and donkeys, etc. Big difference between that and insulting the player who beat your favourite player through great play. And he wasn't being fair. He was reiterating what I wrote from day one.

tented didn't correctly point out anything wrong. It's the polar opposite actually. Seems being a Nadal fan means backing up people even if they're wrong too. Darth hit the nail on the head saying Nadal fans always feel like the victim.

Front, it would be very difficult to say if a Nadal fan called either Soderling or Rosol a "clown," two or six years ago, but you are choosing to paint all of us with one brush. Sure, fans were upset when Rafa lost those two matches. But a lot of fans were plenty willing to admit that each of those guys played amazing matches on the day. You will argue that you didn't say "all" Nadal fans said that, but your post implied it, as well as saying above that we're "sore losers." But you forget that plenty of people did praise those players and their performances. Equally, I believe others besides my self have said that Rosol came to play yesterday and acquitted himself very well. It was Darth who called him a 'clown' yesterday.

Which is what Front is trying to do, whether accurate or not…simply based on his memory of other forums.

We all give opinions here…that's what we trade it. Occasionally, someone will dig up an old one, once it has been proven wrong, for example. OK, we all have to justify our remarks or recant them, on occasion. I don't know how much people get "beaten over the head with" them for the rest of their lives. As you said above, though, you do trade in hyperbole. Which you can get called out on. At least you're aware of it. For the record, I don't really think most people "lie," per se, but they buy into a narrative, and can be careless about the fact-checking and/or exaggerate a point to sell their story to others.
