Why can't I bicker with you? You respond to virtually every post. I thought we were having fun! :hug
And I always speak for myself.

"Why would anyone want to reference back to your manifestos?"

That's an insult that isn't worth debating! :nono :ras:

I don't mean to be insulting, but "manifesting" is your every post. I asked you for a basic tennis point about Federer, and you have yet to come up with one. You just say he's old, and past his time. But he's still a formidable grass player. What about that?

Darren Cahill picked Gasquet as his dark horse before the tournament began. I thought it was an odd choice but Cahill obviously knew Gasquet was in good form. Beating Dimitrov in straights today was a very good result for the original Baby Fed.

Federer Murray match will be a cracker but first Roger needs to get there. He has Berdych in the quarters

Novak Vs. Stan Semi

I realize that I'm jumping ahead, but that's what I'm hoping for. I can foresee Novak snorting fire---he will annihilate Stan in 3--taking NO prisoners :)

RE: Novak Vs. Stan Semi

You CANNOT be serious! Have you even watched any of The Man's matches? Novak can snort whatever he wants, but Wawrinka could ,at the very least, make it one hell of a fight. Novak's defence is just not that hot this year on grass, and if he gets baited into those rallies when Stan slices a return and then starts beating the fuzz off of the ball, Novak will be eaten alive. ( He is already making those around the net post backhand winners lol.) Of course, provided that they both get there first. There are still 2 matches before that.

That just goes to show you that two people can view the same set of "facts" differently. I think Novak has been pacing himself effectively and efficiently, because he is ready to rumble with whomever at Wimbledon. I said the same thing about him early this year during the Australian, and people mocked me for it (there was this look in his eyes like in '11). As you said though, there are still a couple of more matches between now and then, and Stan could certainly get knocked out early.

I think that there isn't a single grass meeting between them in the 21 matches they've played, so there are a few more things to consider if the match takes place, but we shall see. A guy like Cilic could really spoil this for us :D.
Despite that, I wouldn't be mad at Cilic at all if he pulled it off, there is always next year. :laydownlaughing

So, 9 of top 16 reached R16. Of the 7 who failed to reach, 2 were withdrawals. Only 5 failed.
I think good days are behind Deliciano and he is on his way out.

That sounds so strange seeing as I've spent "Breakfast At Wimbledon" since 1979 on NBC with Bud Collins! I guess with then divesting of so many sporting events, ESPN is scooping them up just as fast! Who's doing the commentary? :popcorn :cover  :dodgy:

Yes, I agree that Deliciano is on his way down. Oops, here is another one who peaked over 30, aside Feru, at 33 not too shabby.

At this point there is absolutely no reason to think Nole will have an easy time with Stan. The last 5 meetings at slams have featured 4 five setters and the recent FO final that was dominated by Stan. It would be a tough match, I would favor Nole but we shouldn't be THAT surprised if Stan wins.

Last year it was Darren Carhill, John Mac and Brad Gilbert. The highlights show is quite interesting I think.

Right. It's the same cast from ESPN shown on national network TV.
