Just an Avid Tennis Fan in general, more WTA than ATP, as you probably noticed.

Maria does have the high hand these days but you know how that goes...Last time she won a slam, she couldn't get nothing afterwards and it went on for a while. Serena would have none of it, poor Masha was #1 until the following Wimby which she lost early to Sabine, she couldn't win nothing afterwards(thanks to Serena)... it took her 9 months to win the next event.

Although Masha has very few points to defend this grass season, I have a feeling Serena will clean up, these early losses don't easily leave her mind.

Although I am very happy for Maria winning her 5th 2000 pointer, Now that I think back, I was happier for Eugenie winning her first 280 pointer!

I can be critical of all, even the ones I like, that's how it goes. I like to think I am a tennis fan before anything else.

Oh, BTW! I am one of the 23 who voted NO!

Yeah, she's been plagued with problems on the serve. It's got a little better though but still too many double faults.

I can't see Maria getting to 10 while she still has a "Serena problem"... and I can't see her cracking that nut anytime soon.

Maria only wins things if Serena isn't around to spank her bottom. She knows who's Boss when she faces Serena.

But even if Serena vanished into the ether, there's no way Maris is winning Wimbo this year. She had her fluke, live off it a little longer if you like, but she's not getting it this year... :nono
