Sania & co, breaks Andy in the 2nd set. It is 3-2 for Sania and will serve to get to 4-2.

Bopanna serves well (even Andy has trouble returning once in a while), but his anticipation and movement are below par.

Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna won it in straight sets. Now, they are guaranteed to play at least one match with medal implication, as they have reached SF.

I must say I was not expecting this match to be this easy for them.

Vee and Ram have won the QF. Now, they will face Sania and Rohan. Another tough opponent for Sania and co. But, I think they should be able to win this one.

Venus makes it to the medal round.. I guess I knew what I was talking about that she was still very dangerous for mixed doubles regardless of her virus..

Worm and Lucie Hradecka wins the last QF match which just got finished. They will play against BMS and Sock tomorrow in the SF.

Since there are two USA teams in the SF and only one of the semifinalist will go home without a medal, USA is guaranteed of at least one medal in this event.

Sania and Rohan won the first set with a score of 6-2. But, Vee and Ram are up a break at 4-1 in the second set. It looks like, this may go to super tie breaker.

Vee and Ram win the second set with a score of 6-2 (just like Sania and Rohan did in first set).

Now comes the lottery ticket part of the match viz., super tie breaker.

Vee and Ram up 5-3. Statistically, in STB whoever reaches five first tend to lose the STB. Let us see whether it holds in this match also.

Ram and Venus into the finals with Venus having a shot at becoming the only player to have a gold in all three tennis events.

Sock and Mattek-Sands into the final!

So, it is going to be an All American Final V & Ram vs. BMS & socks.

Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna will play Worm and Hradecka.

Hope Vee wins Gold and Sania wins Bronze.

At least America is assured some more tennis medals. Congrats to Sock and Johnson on Bronze in doubles.
