As you're English, you won't know Howard Stern. He's the original "shock jock" here in the US. Before there was even polarized political talk radio, there was Howard, being completely outrageous, talking to porn stars, strippers, truckers, saying whatever suited him, insulting anything PC, and feminists, etc. etc. He's from NY, so we've had him here for decades, even before he went national. As a knee-jerk progressive, I was told to expressly object to Howard. Until I listened to him, and realized that he's mostly a lampoon of the baffoon that he plays on radio. His long-time side-kick is Robin Givens, a woman of color. She's a great foil to him. He was Trump before Trump, except that he didn't really mean it. You can hear him disavow Trump in that clip. Him telling men that they don't get the difference between porn and what women really want is excellent. The people that listen to him are exactly the people that need to hear all that.
Thank you very much for the information. I just wondered because people often have a reason for liking &/ disliking things so thought I'd ask as I like to know what people like & don't like & why. You like him then because he's funny & tells the truth as he sees it in a funny way.

Howard Stern and Robin Givens are the perfect 2 people to explain to numbskulls the difference between what they see in porn and what women actually want. Brilliant. (Everyone may be surprised, but I love and respect Howard Stern.)
So women don't really like plumbers?

I think they do a brilliant job. There have been many times when we've had leaks & they've been to fix them & they've fixed them quickly & efficiently & been very helpful & friendly too. They can multi-task very well as they've often had a chat with me at the same time often about what they're doing & why & how they do certain things because I like to know what exactly someone is doing, how & why & they never told me in not so many words to stop being so loquacious.

I know I started this to vent then abandoned it but in light of what's been going on in the world even though I've been trying to avoid the news I thought I needed to start it back up as I've been getting anxious & depressed a lot recently & have either exploded or taken everything out of myself & have been totally misunderstood because I've acted out of character. I may leave myself open to comment but I really find writing helps so will express myself in writing.

Why do we need all these violent crimes?
Why do they have to be a sign of the times?
Why do we have to have all this fighting?
Instead of war couldn't people all these wrongs be righting?
Does anyone ever know what all these wars are for?
Why will there never be an end to war?
Why is the news always so bad?
Why is the news always so sad?
I know we need money to live on every day.
Money is just a means of exchange if we think of it that way.
We haven't always had money.
I know some people will find that funny.
Lives should be the most important thing as they can't just be replaced.
Why are some people in need while some wealthy people money waste?
Why do people with capital always get what they want & some people treat others like something they've just walked in?
Why are some employers that nasty to staff that staff feel like they belong in the rubbish bin?
I thought everyone had equal rights.
If that's so why are there so many wars about money, why do the people with money always get what they want & why are there so many racist & sexist cases of abuse, harassment & fights?
At 1 time people used to barter services or goods.
That was when Britain was mainly full of woods.
In a utopian world we wouldn't need money as we'd share everything & work together as part of a team.
We'd have no wars, arguments or fights but this idea is just a very nice dream.

So Kylie Jenner sends a tweet out about how she doesn't use Snapchat much anymore, prompting it's shares to fall hard. Millions of her followers responded, largely agreeing with her if the news is to be believed. Analysts have been worried about Snapchat's performance recently so this fits in with their confirmation bias. It leads to a number of interesting observations, first it's impressive how powerful these celebrities have become in social media culture. But secondly I hope for her sake that she (or someone close to her) doesn't have a short position in Snapchat stock. I'm sure the SEC will have a quick look. If they do... they'll be going straight jail and not passing GO...

PS, whoever thought I would ever post stuff about that attention seeking family? :D

I know a lot of people who just watch them for a laugh or to see how the other 1/2 live & sometimes because there's nothing else on T.V., they can't be bothered to put D.V.D's on & are allergic to turning off the T.V. Dad watched it once. I just picked up a book. It's people like that, that give ladies a bad name because they're arrogant & think only of their looks & men. Some people don't take ladies seriously as it is so for the world to see ladies like that makes it bad for other ladies because some men tar us all with the same brush. I was treated as a freak in 1 of the places I worked in because all the other ladies thought only of their looks, going out, modern music & men & I wasn't like that. T.V. has dumbed down a lot in recent years.

Well, it's the age of influencers... Interesting though... and I'm wondering how Snapchat can really monetize their offering to any significant value in any event... Most of these social media channels are way overpriced when it comes to stock value.

Unknown perpetrators burnt out the central office of the KMKSZ ( Kárpátaljai Magyar Kulturális Szövetség-Hungarian Cultural Alliance in Kárpátalja) in Ungvár. It's the second attack in one month......

Things like this never happened before the current jewish leadership hijacked the country, Hungarians and Ukrainians lived in peace....

So much that my family took parts of their businesses to Ukraine....

But the beaktards are working on turning people against one another everywhere.....

Looks like they're now giving the middle east a bit of rest, if what's going on can be called that and stir shit in eastern-europe nonstop.....

Yeah, and my country is under attack by the jews in general, this jew called John Feffer, just look at his face
headshot.jpg
had the cheek to title his article https://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-feffer/hungary-the-cancer-in-the_b_3402128.html Sure, we're not 100% jewish controlled, especially the the people, so we're cancer that should be removed, oh right... It's not enough they completely ruined our country already and that people like Herios never lived in the "official" Hungary, despite the fact they're living on old Hungarian territory, the jews have prob even with the small remaining part.....

Since their attacks are so arrogant, aggressive and cheeky i'm thinking maybe taking some Putin measures against these so called jewish "journalists" wouldn't be too radical at all.....

Why does the news always have to be so depressing?
Why does the news always have to be so distressing?
Why can't people live in peace?
Why don't wars ever cease?
Why can't we deal with snow like we used to do?
No matter how bad it got we just ploughed through.
We got on with life as usual instead of everything coming to a standstill.
Maybe some of the work it took to do this was all uphill.
Why is there so much violence & crime?
Why can't people just enjoy themselves & allow others to have a good time?

Despite Ann's testimonial on their account, I think women actually prefer carpenters. All-in-all, what we really need are shelves. :D

In our house it's Dad who does all the woodwork so he puts up the shelves. I'm actually amazed at this comment knowing how much you believe in equal rights for women. Although I was never any good at woodwork there were some girls in our class who were very good at woodwork so I guess you can have women carpenters too. It's international woman's Day today so that was an extra reason for me to point out that sometimes women can do just as well in stereotypical men's jobs. We had a woman coming to service our gas boiler once. :0) We do indeed need lots of shelves for everything.

I'm sorry guys, I'm going to end the joke. Sorry EquineAnn but you've completely missed the context here. Britbox made a joke about pornography. Did you really not understand what he meant? I won't bother explaining, but please realise if you continue misunderstanding the joke you'll add fuel to the fire :D Of course I'm assuming that it's flying past you..

Haha! It's o.k. I didn't. I got the joke & was joining in but was making it look like I didn't & acting as if I was taking it seriously. I don't need an explanation. Thank you very much. How do you know I wasn't misunderstanding to make myself look as sweet & innocent as everyone thinks I am, pretending I don't understand & keeping it clean for a reason? Don't you realise some people pretend not to understand because they don't want to understand? Don't you know anybody who acts daft for a reason? I know quite a few. Some people act daft to get out of things & so they don't have to face consequences. Others act daft to make them look innocent. I was laughing behind the scenes too. Sometimes I answer to a comment on it's own & sometimes look at the whole thing so I do actually have something relevant to say. There are actually many ways of interpreting the same thing & sometimes I actually take things the wrong way to see what people say. There are many people who do this.

Happy International Women's Day! And yes, you're right. I was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but, if I'm honest, I wish I had better woodworking skills. But that's because they didn't let girls into wood shop when I was in school! (My parents actually offered to sue the school system on my behalf, but no one wants to rock the boat at 14.)
