Well, I hope young Germans pay attention to the hypocrisy, considering their overlords are considering a "draft"

No doubt all those with Ukrainian avatars on their social media will be first in line, and feminists will be barging their way to the front of the line for the sake of equality... or maybe not.

well if Germany is concerned about their military capacity it's not because they foresee an offensive operation to aid Ukraine. It'll be because they're concerned about Russia's lack of respect for territorial boundaries

You really believe that? And if Britain thought the same? When I say Britain, I don't mean a chunk of land that can't think... rather a bunch of clowns who decide to conscript a populace... i.e. the likes of Rishi Sunak, Boris Johnson, Grant Schnapps, Matt Hancock smoking cigars in Whitehall... Is Corporal Federberg ready to go and fight in the Ukraine?

You think Putin doesn’t smoke cigars?

What exactly are you suggesting, if Russia invades Germany what do you think Germany should do? Just bend over? This makes no sense to me. The mere act of showing a willingness to consider conscription sends the message out that they won't be a pushover. The only thing that guarantees safety is to show you're strong. I honestly don't get it. Putin is in the Ukraine. He's attacked Georgia, and has been sniffing around Moldova. At what point will all the Russia apologists admit that Putin's Russia is an aggressive actor? And by the way, let's not kid ourselves, I'm totally on board in looking sideways at the US. But who's being more imperialist that China around the South China Sea, the pacific islands and in Africa? And Russia in. it's near abroad and also Africa. If you haven't been paying attention, then it's time to wake up. By all means disapprove of the US, I agree with. you. But don't act like Russia and China are innocents ffs...

I'm asking you to think about it. You're talking about Russia and Germany as if they are sentient beings... they're land masses. We're talking about people not land. On the subject of Africa, Is China being any more imperialist than the West? Probably less so. Let's lose the hypocrisy and stop pretending our so-called governments are the "good guys" here. The best marketers maybe... So, let's consider the hypothetical question - are you prepared (if asked) to go and fight in the Ukraine?

Why do you assume that people haven’t thought about it?

So you have thought about it?.

If so, I'll pose the question to you... are you prepared to go to the Ukraine and fight the so-called Russian "foe"? and if so, under what circumstances?

I never say anything without thinking about it. I'm telling you that Russia and China are all over Africa. This is a FACT. They are going for a massive resource grab, and China is buying up land. like it's going out of fashion. Not just in Africa, in the Western Hemisphere as well. I have never said that the West are innocents, they're not. France probably being the most loathsome, the US gets the blame but Maloni wasn't wrong about France. Canada just brought in a law to rein in Chinese activity in Canadian real estate. Have you seen. property prices in Canada?? Your anti-neo con stance is all well and good, but share some of that love with Russia and China as well. You have a serious blind spot which really puzzles me. You strike me as a man that wants to keep on. top of things. And yes... Russia and. China are waaaay out of control in Africa. They put. even the French to shame these days.

Oh and one more thing. What on earth do you mean that they're just land masses? I'm sure those Ukrainian kids that have been kidnapped to solve Russia's demographic problem don't think the. same as you. Ukraine is also a land mass, one that's been violated. Why is that ok with you?

I'm interested in where people stand on issues and if they are prepared to put their money where their mouth is.
But that’s not a question that asks where anybody stands on an issue. For example, a person might detest the war but not want to go abroad to fight in it. Therefore you could misinterpret their answer. It’s a meaningless question, to be honest. Kind of a loaded one? I think there’s more to this question than what you say there is…

Have you seen that China have police stations around the world, including Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands?

Chinese overseas police station in Dublin ordered to shut

A report from human rights group Safeguard Defenders said the station is part of a worldwide network of overseas Chinese law enforcement offices, some of which have been known to “persuade” Chinese emigrants to return home, sometimes to face criminal charges.

but that same question could be flipped. What's the alternative for Germany? Act like Russia hasn't invaded its neighbour? Why should Germany or any of Russia's neighbours assume that their expansionism stops at Ukraine? They're in Georgia already, they're agitating in Moldova. Why should. anyone assume they stop at Ukraine. How can you as a neighbour not take pre-emptive defensive posture to ensure that you remain safe?

China is playing the capitalist game in line with the rules created by the West - what are you going to do? Change the so-called rules? Buying land like it's going out fashion, is slightly more preferable to stealing land like it's going out fashion...

As for the Ukraine situation, you can look at it from different angles. One being a democratically elected government getting overthrown by a coup in 2014 and the murderous antics of the Govt against "their own people" in the Donbass over the next few years.... Remember the term "killing their own people"? That very same terminology was the propaganda used to justify incursions into the "violation" of Iraqi "land masses" back in the day.

There are no "good" and "bad" guys my friend, just global oligarchs playing RISK on the map...

I'm willing to acknowledge that the West aren't saints in this, although I would dispute your interpretation of Ukrainian history. But my question to you would be why you seem to want to give a pass to Russia and China? I don't get it
