They’re better off leaving that stuff. The Democrats left it when Bush won, and Trump - in my opinion - lost that election fair and square and is lucky he wasn’t banned from running again, after January 6th.

He should now work hard to prove to people - and Dems particularly - that whatever his politics, he’s doing it for the good of the country and he’s going to use his 4 years at that, not settling scores…

You’re smarter than that, brother. When has Trump *ever* shown he’s interested in anything other than settling scores or engaging in activities which revolve around his ego? Everything is always about him. Listen to his speeches at his rallies — he talked about himself and insulted others like a 10-year-old brat. He’s the ultimate useful idiot — any policies enacted when he was in office originated with others, and he added his signature, as long as the people who presented the ideas called him smart.

The Democrats didn't leave it when Trump won in 2016. The Media Assault was relentless. I'm not just saying this in hindsight - if you look back at the posts in 2016 I stated it then - it was unparalleled and bizarre. It actually shattered any credibility or trust that networks like CNN, CBS, ABC etc had ever had. Mass psychosis Trump derangement syndrome.

Will he take the higher ground? I doubt it. He has a massive ego and there will be people around him who will demand scores are settled. Many of these have done prison time as a result of democratic party inspired lawfare. Were they guilty? Possibly, even Probably. But if you applied the same forensic microscope on the activites of anyone in the higher echelons of power, you would basically have a case to imprison anyone you felt like. Half a billion dollars bail for accounting irregularities?

Like you suggested, maybe the Democrats will realise whipping up this derangement through relentless propaganda won't cut it in the longer term, and they pull back into a more centrist role. Trump has no excuses left - or scapegoats, he's got the House and Senate - let's see what he does.

I agree, brother. There’s videos of Pelosi and Hillary saying endlessly that trump was an illegitimate president. Somehow they feel that this didn’t contribute to the decline in courtesy, maybe because they’re so virtuous, I dunno. I just think that they didn’t take the opportunity over the last four years to lead by example, and it’s unlikely Trump will, but it would be better if he does..

Ultimately this was proof that Bill Maher was right: Biden will be known as Ruth Biden Ginsberg. He stayed in office way too long, handicapping the Democrats’ ability to have taken the required steps to have succeeded. If he had stated he wasn’t going to run again in, say, the Spring, the Democrats would have had time to have organized a proper primary, vs. only having had enough time to have gone with Harris. I don’t look back fondly on Ginsberg for having stayed too long, thus allowing the next President to have appointed her replacement, and I’m already not looking back fondly on Biden for have not realized much sooner he shouldn’t have sought reelection.

Listen, there has been ZERO PROOF an election has been rigged. Zero. If there were proof, we wouldn’t just be hearing people say it — we would all be able to see the definitive proof. But there is no proof, because it didn’t happen. And if it is possible to rig elections, wouldn’t people rig them so that everything is in their favor? Of course! If the Democrats rigged the election in 2020, they wouldn’t have lost control of the House of Representative, and a razor thin control of the Senate.

There’s also a concept of proof. I think that this is a slippery slope, when we just look at figures and draw the least favourable conclusion. There are other conclusions available to you..

Harris is a bit over 67 million now and California is 54% counted, so when all is said and done, she'll be 70-72 million. So we're talking 10 million less than 2020 for the Democrats.

Either way, they'll blame everyone but themselves: white women, black men, Muslims, Bernie Bros, Jill Stein, RFK, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, etc.

It's you who don't understand the concept of election interference or vote rigging, and stop moving the goal posts. When people tell you the 2020 election wasn't rigged, you start talking about defamatory language, which is not the same thing. And you blissfully overlook all of the defamatory language that Trump and Vance have used for Harris.

No one needs to edit Trump's speeches to make him look worse. And he scrambles his own words. Not all of us just watch clips from the internet...some of us listen to entire speeches. We can hear it for ourselves. He has made claims and said things that you simply choose not to believe. That's on you.

As to actual election interference, I guess you never watched that 60 Minutes piece that @tented posted. It's only 13 minutes of your life, and you might learn something. Oh, but, no...I forgot. Election rigging is all in the past, now that Trump won.

Either our elections are free and fair, or they're not. You don't get to pick and choose, depending on if your candidate wins. Remember that Trump never contested a single outcome in 2020 that he won. That would have shown that he really didn't believe in it.

I don't know that it's fair to say the Democrats will blame everyone but themselves. Especially when the Republicans and Trump blamed everything but themselves for 2020, including election fraud. And, never minding blame, why do YOU think Harris lost?
