Is this the level of how much you care about the future of our country? A popcorn watch? I know you're better than that. I'm frankly incensed that the media is calling for Biden to drop out, when the inadequate candidate in the race is Trump. Liar, felon. The Philadelphia Inquirer got it right:
Biden had a horrible night Thursday. But the debate about the debate is misplaced. The only person who should withdraw from the race is Trump.

They are calling for him to drop out because it is the right thing to do. He is not capable and his party doesn't want Harris either. It is the anything-but-Trump deal and they believe anyone but Biden has a good shot at winning and that is all they care about. I have NEVER bought into the hyperbolic malarkey about Trump being a dictator, we would end up in a war because of his ineptitude, that he was a Russian agent, his economic policies would only aid the rich and not the rest of the country, blah-blah-blah.
Is he an idiot? Does he needlessly attack people like a petulant child? Is he a likeable person or even a man of great character? I have no qualms that the answers are yes, yes and no. So what? His policies did continue economic expansion, we need become more economically independent from Russia and European energy producers under his policies and the stock market enriched not only the rich, but many millions in the middle class and lower classes--oh, and unemployment went to the lowest numbers in decades and including the black and brown citizenry. Oh, and no wars (at least new ones). Interest rates were down, inflation was down and the remain in Mexico policy was a success. We did not have the INSANITY Biden's policies directly produced--he incentivized the human people movers to crank it up to the tune of ten times what was happening under 45.
Y'all recall that even BEFORE he was in office there was talk of impeachment by the Democrats? Recall how they wanted Pence and others to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him early on? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? He has been attacked from day one and before like no president I have ever seen, and I am fine with saying he earned some of it by being a nasty guy at times. But impeachable offenses? Only now do we see the 25th Amendment being floated begrudgingly by Democrats as to Biden and for good reason--there is real trouble here for which the amendment was enacted--garbage floating it as to Trump years ago.
I harken back to the insanity I heard when Jimmy Carter lost the election to Ronald Reagan. They were passing out cyanide pills to youth groups at Brown University so that peoplecould commit suicide after Reagan came to power because they were convinced nuclear war was coming or whatever. His policies were going to need to worsening in the economy and they did and the short term, as planned, but then he started the longest post-war economic expansion up until that time starting in 1982 and continuing right to the end of the decade into the 1990s after which he even took off more with the Internet explosion that happened right as William Jefferson Clinton came to power. The world didn't end under Reagan and it is not going to end under another four years of Donald Trump. This hyperbolic madness is unnecessary and not helpful. If Trump wins he will be president and he is not going to order the assassination of a bunch of people who opposed him like some dictator.
So, let us not get too emotionally entwined is my thought. Hence the popcorn reference. Obviously, a large amount of people don't think that Trump winning is the end of the world. We are a helluva lot closer now to real problems around the world under the current administration. Just look at what is happening with Xi and North Korea as well as Putin. Then we have Hamas and Israel, which is now stirring more trouble than in many years with Hezbollah. Iran--Lord have mercy and then their little annoying Houthis too. Not a single one of those was going on under the prior administration. Why has all this happened in the last two years? These are serious issues.
My reference to sitting back and watching and popcorn was to the hysteria of the talking heads in this nation about Trump and Biden, not about the real world issues, Moxie--which I think you actually knew. Carry on and God Bless America!
