This is an interesting (detached) and slightly methodical view on recent happenings. Quite funny too. Worth a watch.

Thanks Bribrox. I agree with him that most of the cops are trying to do what's right and that most of the demostrators are peaceful, that commonality is what's missing in some of the polarized discussions these days.

One thing where I sort of raised my eyebrows at was the implication that divisions in the country are perpetrated by the media because it benefits them. OK, getting ratings and viewers is a self interested capitalistic motivation, and I do think the Trump election has been great for CNN, MNBC, Foxnews, etc. However Yellow Journalism, media frenzy, etc has been around since before the American Revolution. Moreover, I think all corporations/big business of course do whtat benefits them the most, lucre and all, so I don't think the media is somehow unilaterally & singularly ripping the nation apart; one could argue that the actions of some of corporate America , which understandbly is also per their self interests, can be just as divisive & corrosive. Add the political establishment. At the same time, with all their faults (and yes biases) the media serves a purpose.

I did enjoy his point that people whipping out their cell phones and video recording things such as the George Floyd killing is a form of journalism, sort of ad hoc gonzo journalism. It amazes me how the official line is never retracted in so many of these cases until the inevitable cell phone recording pops up refuting the so called facts as previously reported.

Anyone have thoughts on the Jake Fromm text message scandal? I'm fascinated by the motivations of the woman who posted the text chain. That is extremely encouraging. She's all in on social change. Kudos to her. Ice cold to do to a friend, but as they say... there are casualties in war. The boy is clearly racist, can't be anymore textbook than that can it?

What a stupid fucking ad and a ridiculous smear against Trump.....which is why you like it.

It mentions the police brutality incident with George Floyd as if it was Trump's fault. Never mind that Minneapolis is a city controlled by Democrats, or that in 2019 only 9 unarmed black males in the entire country were killed (as compared to 19 unarmed white males). And if you look at the reasons for why those 9 were killed, the police were usually justified because they were being attacked. Also, there were riots and police brutality incidents while Obama was president, but for some reason he never got any blame for it.

Second: for them to mention the high unemployment rate? Are they serious? Just a few months ago, Trump had posted the lowest unemployment numbers in over 50 years, including the lowest ever unemployment rates for blacks and Hispanics respectively. The reason for the high unemployment now is that the Democrats got their way with the shutdowns. It is totally disingenuous to blame that on Trump.

very interesting points about the Confederate flag...

Killer Mike is just repeating the nonsense version of history he has picked up from white leftists. He is also whitewashing the real rationale for Kaepernick taking a knee. Kaepernick was not taking a knee because he loves the First Amendment. He was taking a knee - as he said in his own words - to object to "400 years of oppression" and thereby give a huge F U to the United States as a whole. Kaepernick wasn't just objecting to the Confederacy. The pulling down of the Confederate flag was simply a precursor to taking down the American flag itself, just as removing Confederate monuments was a precursor to taking down and desecrating monuments to Jefferson, Lincoln, and Washington.

The reality of the Civil War is far more complex than some low-information ignoramus like Killer Mike is aware. Blacks fought in integrated units for the Confederate army while they were segregated in Union units. Sherman's army terrorized and attacked blacks in the South. Of course, Killer Mike doesn't know anything about that, or about how the Confederate leadership understood and defended American constitutional principles better than their Northern counterparts. Since he has a one-track mind, all that matters is SLAVERY SLAVERY SLAVERY SLAVERY SLAVERY SLAVERY SLAVERY SLAVERY. There is nothing else of relevance in the world except whites mistreating blacks to him.

Also, the person he was referencing was Alexander Stephens, not "Alexander Stephenson."

Killer "Michael his given Christian name" brings it. I guarantee you that Trump's#1 extremely extraordinary right wing supporter will have a plethora of anti killer Mike crap to say today.

Right.....Killer Mike has no idea what he's talking about, nor does Kaepernick. According to the Washington Post itself, there were only 9 unarmed black males killed in the United States in all of 2019 - and each of them was involved in a contentious altercation with police. By contrast, there were 19 unarmed white males killed in 2019 in the United States.

If you listened to the media, you would think that there were 90,000 unarmed black males killed every year. The real number is 9. All of this noise is based on lies. And the real motivation for most of the protesters is actually nothing more than hating Trump. It's not even about the police for many of them. They just can't stand the fact that their party does not have complete power over the entire government. That's what really bothers them.

Right, as with the Jussie Smollett hoax incident, when the tape revealed that it was two African males who assaulted Mr. Smollett, not two white guys wearing MAGA hats. That was a good example of the actual video showing something different than what the official line was.

Funny how the DOW is up over 27,000 right now and Federberg hasn't said a peep, while he was cheering like a little kid when it was dropping. Any thoughts on why that might be?

Why is Federberg suddenly not commenting on economic issues after being so gleeful and joyful during the coronavirus crisis? He loved seeing people lose their jobs and suffer, as long as he could hold bad employment numbers against Trump. But now that things are swinging dramatically back the other way, he is silent. Why is that? Any ideas?

Lmao.....so now people's livelihoods and the dignity that come with them don't mean anything? Okay then. How insightful. I doubt that if there was a greats job report under a Democratic president, you would dismiss it as trivial.

But you dodged the question, which was: why is Federberg so silent about this economic recovery after cheering joyously when the economy tanked during the silly lockdowns? Any theories on that?

As for the Floyd case itself, Trump had absolutely no responsibility for it. The city of Minneapolis is run by Democrats. Look in the mirror at your own party for why so many cities have problems. They have been controlling major cities for decades. Stop scapegoating people (i.e. Republicans) for problems they have nothing to do with. It's not Republicans' fault that Democratic voters and the leaders they choose in major urban areas are incompetent.

Lol....who gives a fuck about facts? That should be the slogan for the Democratic Party. I'm sorry that only 9 unarmed black males in the United States were killed for the entirety of 2019. That really conflicts with your narrative that 90,000 are killed by police every year, doesn't it?

It hurts to see those facts for you. But like you said, "who gives a fuck" - the new slogan of the low-information, low-IQ, civilization-destroying Democratic Party.

I also have to say it is funny to see the wannabe intellectual Killer Mike pretend that the American flag is great (properly understood) but the Confederate flag is bad.....that is utter nonsense. Kaepernick was not just objecting to the Confederacy but saying that the entire history of the United States was an immoral fraud perpetrated on black people, including America post-1865. The uncultured, nihilistic ISIS-imitators in the modern Democratic Party are not just going for Confederate monuments. They are going for everything. There are dozens of pieces of evidence for this, including that they vandalized the Lincoln Memorial recently. Lincoln by today's standards was a huge racist so he has to go too:

Lol.....you're not exactly as famous as Barack Obama (to my knowledge), so I'm not sure who cares what you have to say either. But I'm glad you could not address the fact that only 9 unarmed black males were killed by police in the U.S. in 2019 - as reported by the left-wing Washington Post.

You have nothing to say to that, so all you can do is get hysterical. Those actual facts disprove everything you believe on this issue. And it clearly makes you furious.

Cali..you got it twisted..I am fine..I am not upset..( I want tell you why I am in a good mood because you said blah, blah)..maybe Federerberg will respond to your post ..I have better things to do with my time..No I am not President Obama but I am a grown ass Man who has a very low opinion of a moron like you. Maybe you can ask you boyfriend BS..he will tell you that AP doesn't suffer fools gladly.. Question. Do you think Michael Eric D or Tamika Mallory would waste time with a simpleton such as yourself? Do you think Larry Elder wouldn't offer you a forum to hear your dumbass thoughts? Hell no. Cali, I would suggest that you should continue to reach out to others who feel you offer competitive banter.

errrr... I think I've stated several times that I consider the economy to be separate from Administrations. You have often credited the US economy's performance to Trump and I have responded that if anything the recovery was created by Obama. I would certainly hold Trump's incompetent response to the threat of the pandemic as a factor in the adverse economic reaction, but there's no doubt that the US economy would have been negatively impacted anyway (just not as badly as this). My only real recent comments about the US economy have been about the electoral consequences. Would I be upset if Trump lost as a result? Of course not ;) But don't be talking shit mate. I want and need the economy to do well, that's good for my business. Get it straight
