I have just finished watching Azarenka's match before I watch Serena's

Goodness me Sabalenka was a UFE machine,she needs to learn to have 'controlled aggression' on her ground shots,I thought she improved in this area,credit where credit is due Azarenka was just too solid on return especially on Sabalenka's 2nd serve.
Sabalenka made 27 UFE to 15 winners in the match?
Azarenka to me just continued her solid form from Cincy and I loved 'the finger wave' reminded me of Vika in 2016
Vika just too focused with her straight sets victory.....61 63.

One of the main things I noticed with Serena in her 2nd rd match was her court movement,a improvement from her first rd match.
Gasparyan improved in the 2nd set,her serve and her return of serve.Serena stills put too much pressure on herself,though she is a perfectionist and I cannot see that changing.

Serena will play Sloane Stephens in her 3rd rd match.

One of the matches I am interested in watching tomorrow is Caroline Garcia vs Jennifer Brady.
Garcia played an focused game to take out the No 1 seed Pliskova and I have always been a fan,sad to say it has been her inconsistency that has cost her and also her focus,she is gifted player and should be a Top 10 player.
Their H2H is 3 all.Jennifer's game is suited to HC and all of her wins over Caroline has been on a HC.Caroline's last win over Jennifer was in the s/final of Nottihgham before winning the title last year.

Hopefully Garcia wont have a 'let down' as we have seen before when any player takes out the top seed of a tournament they sometimes cannot replicate the same in their next match.

Really nice to see Azarenka playing so well. With my usual favorites Venus and Halep fading and missing in action, I’ve found myself rooting for her. With this form she could go all the way. Obviously it will be difficult to keep it up though.

Osaka wins the 1st set 63 over Kostyuk who got treatment on her right ankle after the 1st set
Kostyuk serving for the 2nd set 5-4 broken by Osaka,both ladies held their serve,t/break now in play for the 2nd set.
Frustration creeping into Osala's game she threw her racquet after losing the 2nd set 76(4) to Kostyuk saved a BP to win.
Going to a decider.
Kostyuk getting treatment on her right ankle again,not foot typo error before.BTW Osaka has her left thigh heavily bandaged.
Osaka saved 5BPs for 2 all final set.
Osaka had 4 BPs,finally broke the Kostyuk serve on her final BP,she leads 3-2.
Osaka with a much needed love service game consolidates the break,though Kostyuk had some unruly returns.
