What just happened in the 2nd? Breadstick from Vika.
Not sure. I wasn't watching the 2nd set. They say she called the trainer out at the end of the set and went off court for 9 min. But Vika has it well in hand now

Anyway, Vika through, and she's back. 3 moms in the last quarter of a Major ever. Go, girls!

Looking like we could have an Azarenka - S. Williams semifinal. That would be a fun one.

I'm happy for Vika. I like most things about Victoria except for her choice in a baby daddy.

Mertens is playing well. That will be a tough match like this one was. She has variety and plays lots of doubs so she closes the net often. And nothing is a given w/ Serena. I look forward to seeing all the QFs

I am not surprised with Merten's result she has been playing solid tennis since Cinncy....well done Elise

I knew that Muchova would give Vika fits, she was impressive making the q/finals of Wimbledon last year.

Looking forward to watches the matches on delay.

Elise played a very clean match and was impressive on serve as well....19 winners and 7UFE in 2 sets of tennis
Kenin who rarely has a high UFE count,26 UFE and 23 winners, took a lot of chances in this match and it ended in a high error count.

Azarenka v Muchova was a fun.quality match

One aspect of the match that stood out for me was the returning of Azarenka on Muchova's serve.Muchova a very aggressive player, was not backing down, though it did lead her to making a lot more UFE,45 UFE compared to 32 winners.
Azarenka broke Muchova's serve six times in the match.Azarenka has got back that steely determination and when she was serving for the match you knew she would win the match.

Completely agree with you - credits to Muchova an exciting player - and Vika is almost back on top of her game - and nice to see her there. Here are some highlights from the match:
