Her foot was bothering her the entire match, but she seemed to be complaining more about feeling dizzy and her blood pressure during the match. I felt so bad for her as she was crying when she left the court.
It was very hot and humid yesterday, we saw a few players have to retire, also they were cramping.

Yep, it is like the weather here in Maryland. NYC is not really that far away from where I live. It is about 3 hours away.
I have been to NYC, a city that I love, it never stops, I have also been to Boston, another city I love and also California and Hawaii

It was different, I went to LA, , also to the wine country in Nappa, then onto Disneyland, I took my young daughter, we both loved Disneyland

Whoever said Scone was maddening forgot about her kindred sister the Greek Goddess. This girl flips so many scripts inside of a match that I'm dizzy trying to keep up.

Tossip I believe called Scone maddening lol! I have been watching Sakkari v Wang, going into a 3rd set
Sakkari has points to defend here being a SF

Sounds painful. I stub my toe and I'm ready to fold over. How could this girl stand up and play a match?
There were some shots she was just letting go. It was pretty sad. These were shots she could have probably gotten to but at what cost. I think Amanda is amazing. I know she can hit a ton of errors in a match but this is the stuff I love about her. She is a fighter. Yeah she lost but she put everything out there on the court.

I am impressed with Wang who is playing Sakkari, good off the ground, though her serve is letting her down, needs to address the amount of DFs she is having in this match, though this is a huge match for her.
Sakkari will now serve to force a t/breaker in the 3rd set

And I see nothing wrong with that. I actually love that in the game. The players should be on their toes every time they step on the court and know they can be sent home packing by anyone.

I guess it's ok to talk about inconsistent play if others join in! That's all I was saying! You have nice runs like Iga, then her play falls off a cliff! In the old days the top players were so much better, it wasn't uncommon for them to relax and let the match come to them! Upsets were rare and at the biggest tourn. like Wimbledon, all 8 seeds at the top made it to the quarterfinals! They weren't concerned about upsets! Now, on day one, it's damned likely if a player comes out unprepared, hurt, or allowing their minds to wander! It happened just now; Sakkari is out! :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :face-with-tears-of-joy::fearful-face::astonished-face:
