I guess especially here at the US Open her anxiety and nerves have to be sky high because the expectations now are so much for her to do well here. Last year it was all fun and just playing the game. Pretty much the same thing for Leylah. The pressure they both must have this year must be incredible. They are also both only 19 years old I think. That is pretty crazy.

They said yesterday that this tournament is talking the least about the defending Ladies Champion and Runner Up then anytime in its history. Also with the whole Serena thing going on that overshadows it.Well no one thought she'd defend her title! That's a bit of a joke on the women's tour to allow such lowly players to even make a major final!
In some ways I like it that each tournament there is this not having a clue who is going to win the tournament. Yeah there is Iga at the top, but there is a huge amount of players on the WTA tour that could pop up and win a major. Take Caroline Garcia, she is a real threat to winning this thing. I picked Amanda Anisimova to win it all and yeah that is a long shot but not really out of the question.

At least I don't have to check up on the WTA draw anymore. With Kasatkina out and having her all the way to the SF's and Amanda winning the whole thing that ends that.
I hope so. They are both still young and could play a lot of matches together in the future. I think that could be some really exciting and fun matches.
