I don't know about ya'll, but I'm excited. We'll have a new slam winner this year. It's been happening for the ladies frequently, but now we will see it for the men.

But there will be an asterisk next to it with both Federer and Nadal out and Djokovic getting ejected against someone he probably would have beaten an hour later. Until someone wins a Slam with at least 2 of those 3 playing their whole way through I don’t think we can talk of a new era. Delpo at least beat 2 of the top 3 in 2009.

Djokovic also irresponsibly approached that elderly woman without a mask so he could have given her the COVID-19 virus:

He also recklessly shook the hand of Carreno Busta during a global pandemic putting him in danger:

Carreno Busta is also in a demographic that has about a 0.0000000001% chance of dying from the Wuhan Nursing Home Virus. I think he’ll be okay, idiot.

Carreno Busta beat Djokovic because he was mentally tougher and kept his composure. This is a huge part of Tennis. Federer hasn’t won this title in over 10 years so I don’t see your point of bringing him up. But I agree about Nadal, the fact that he is not here is a big Asterix. But if someone like Dominic Thiem wins then it is merited because he has had wins over all the Big 3.

Coric gets it done! What a back-up to a huge win.

A well controlled straight sets win from Coric....Well done....into a q/final.

Best result from Jordan Thompson in a GS,now you can afford to buy a razor and shaving cream.

Yes Carreno Busta was running all the balls and playing like a wall and frustrating Djokovic. He would have won in straight sets or at the most in four.

Horrible tiebreak from Shapovalov. I like his mentality but he would be much better with a two-handed backhand. His serve is also too erratic for someone who is straight offense like he is.

Moxie, if anyone is a troll, you are the epitome of one. You have consistently been on these boards for over 10 years, never taking a break, and you love to stir the pot to vent your prejudices on everything from sports to politics. So you are a troll, and probably the biggest troll in the history of this message board community. If you wish to use that term, then let's be honest and acknowledge that you are far and away number one in that category. You are the GOAT.

Having said that, I have given plenty of compliments to Nadal over the years. NadalGoat2 never has a nice word to say about Djokovic on anything. And, as a matter of fact, I have complimented Nadal for his mindset and mentality on the court numerous times. I don't like what he did to Federer with all the medical timeouts, but in general I think he does have an excellent mindset and approach on the court.

As for "rewriting history," you are going on a rant because I objected to you equating Nalbandian's actions at Queens with what Djokovic did today. That comparison is beyond absurd. Nalbandian showed far more reckless disregard for another person than Djokovic did. Nalbandian had someone in his line of vision and kicked a board anyway. Djokovic was turning away and hit the ball with some annoyance.
your a lair as well just like djokovic I have said a few times djokovic is the greatest hard court player of all time again so that is good thing said about him I have also praised djokovic on beating federer in 3 wimbledon finals so thats two good things I said about djokovic again low IQ stop making a fool of yourself.

Lol.....yes, just like Kyle Edmund did after winning the first set. A close first set means Djokovic will get owned the rest of the way. Exactly right.

Federer has underachieved at the US Open since 2008. You don’t have to be a Federer fan to acknowledge it. The problem with you is that you can’t take any compliment/defense of Federer or Djokovic as anything other than insult to Nadal.

Federer has had various awful losses at the US Open in the last 12 years that he should not have.

When Nadal beat Carreno Busta in the AO and RG some people said wow what an easy draw and yet look at him now ending Djokovic’s win streak. Not so easy after all this Carreno Busta guy.

Of c

of course stupid, but accident.
They would decide differently For others than the Serb.
bloody low life racism card played here. wtf is this sick talk? he is from south Europe, Shapo is from Canada and he didn't get a concession when he also hit someone 'accidentally'. So far anyone who hit anyone with a ball/racquet in anger has not been able to escape default.

If they let Djoker off the hook, would you be kind enuf to say they discriminated against a Canadian? thought so.

Shapo is quite flashy. I would like to see him control it a bit better
