If Pospisil wins, Djokovic and Cilic will be the only two 80's players left in the draw.
This really is following on the groundswell that started coming here last year. Even if you had Rafa, (a healthy) Roger and Stan, say, in this year, what we're seeing is a step-up in maturity in form from the younger guys. I don't think this is just pandemic year...it was coming.

I have become a fan of Felix, actually he reminds me of a young Novak in many ways,he does need to work on his serve,he does have time on his side.

Berrettini, Rublev and Medvedev are all on fire. I certainly wouldn’t want to meet them at the U.S. Open because they would be so difficult to beat. Wow!

Steve Johnson’s moustache as well lol
His is like Cueva's one, which @tented calls a "porn 'stache." At least they're proper mustaches. Jordan Thompson's face and head is just a mess of overgrowth, atm, and De Minaur's is a whisper of a Hitler. Alex, if you can't grow a mustache, don't try, and certainly don't try that one.

Actually Jordan Thompson could be a 'stand in Ronald McDonald' at Macca's with that fly away hair and a red nose he fits the picture,of course that replusive moustache has to go

Sidebar: Berrettini spoke of his friend, the restauranteur of Via della Pace in the East Village who has been standing outside the tennis center screaming for him, and even has a very fugazy loudspeaker. They had a fire just before the lockdown. Matteo is talking like he lost the place, but I think they are still hoping to reopen. Matteo said he'll try to help him. Here's hoping they do come back.

Didn't the restaurant have a fire?

I am very happy that FAA is through to his first ever Slam 4th Round! Also, after losing the 2nd set in the 1st Round, he has won eight consecutive sets. He won't be spent at all! It will be a huge test for him either against Cilic or Thiem on Monday, but it should be a great lesson for him moving forward.

Felix may be ready to come good on all the promise. Now or soon. He looked amazing today. I'm hoping for Thiem to top Cilic, and Thiem is the tougher ask, I think.

He looks confident, Moxie! Also, he said that he worked really hard on his serve during the pandemic hiatus. You could tell he is ready to take the leap whether this tournament or in 2021. I think facing Murray in the 2nd Round helped him to become more focus knowing that if he does not play well, Murray can beat him.

I do not think he can beat Thiem yet, but if he can somehow make Thiem work really hard for the win, it will be a great indicator that he is ready for the leap!

Not to get ahead of myself before Thiem v. Cilic, but I would have thought Thiem was going to come into the USOpen swing as the in-form player, but then he bombed out of W&S early. Felix might have a great chance against either.

In fairness, Thiem is experience enough that he just needs to play his through the draw at a Slam. He did it this year at Australian Open. He struggled at the ATP Cup and in the first few rounds of the AO, but he still reached the final. Now, I do not think he can beat an in-form Medvedev here.

I definitely am putting Medvedev in the final. He's looking good. He's my pick to win the title.
