Raise your hand if you had Pospisil getting to the R16. No one? That’s what I thought. Me neither.
Remember a million years ago when Pospisil seemed to have a good future in singles, and then seemed to be just a really good doubles player? When did HE come back?

Prior to this, he last played a challenger tournament in Canada. He lost his first match.

Popsicle keeps refreezing. He's on a roll. Good for him. Probably his biggest payday at a slam.

I looked it up. You’re close — he got to the QF at Wimbledon in 2015 (which I do not remember), but other than that, this is his best at a major.

Reaching R16 5 years later has to be worth more $$ than a QF in 2015, but it's worth a little research on my part to see.

You’re probably right, but I can’t find the financial break down for the USO. The 2015 Wimby QF got him 241,000 pounds — about $320,000.

Man, I wish FAA was in the Bautista-Agut's quarter so he has chance to reach his 1st ever Slam QF. Unfortunately, if he wins today, he will more than likely face Thiem in the next round unless Marin Cilic turns back the clock.

Also, either Pospisil or De Minaur will reach their first ever Slam QF, so that will be a very nice result for either of them.

@kskate2 — I found it. The R16 is $250,000.

Thanks for looking that up. A qtr of a mil for 3 rounds of play? Totally awesome

Why are my Aussie men intent on having 'moustaches'?

Just saw a close up of the 'The Demon' he looked like a 'mini Hitler'..................

Tiafoe had never beaten Fucsovic in 2 previous meetings. Today wins 2-3-2. Some turnaround. They shook hands at the net...is he going to get in trouble for that?

I have to agree with you about that particular mustache. It is especially ill-considered. Brad Gilbert gave him a yellow card for it. Does he not possess a mirror? Did he skip all of his history classes when they were doing WWII?

I find it also offensive,Hewitt needs to take him aside and give him a history lesson ASAP..
