This is my favorite match so far at the USO Venus v Pliskova,I have been waiting for Pliskova to finally break through at Majors, she finally did it defeating Venus 46 64 76(3),this match had so many momentum changes, overall she was too solid for Venus...a great match overall,I also think Pliskova winning at Cinncy has helped her at the USO,she has such a great serve and fhand and hits the ball so cleanly....congratulations Pliskova making the q/finals!
Absolutely agree. That was probably best match on US Open so far. Incredible exchanges, lot of turns in events .. Hope Pliskova will meet with Serena in Semis, want to see if her way of tennis can be effective against Serena

Ana Konjuh (Croatia) beat 4-Agnieszka Radwanska (Poland) 6-4 6-4

Huge win for Ana... don't know much about her other than she's won the Junior US Open. One to watch!

You seen much of her @MargaretMcAleer ?

Angie definitely brought it today. She raised her level by a country mile.

Congratulations to Angie and Caro. Poor Sevastova, that was hard to watch.

Young Konjuh has such an easy power. She gave Aga all she could handle at Wimbledon this year, and frankly only because she stepped on a tennis ball and rolled her ankle did she lose that match 9:7 in the 3rd set. She just overpowered Aga last night.

BB She won 2 junior majors in 2013, a very promising player.

I have had huge internet problems for about 12 hours, thankfully back on now:)

Konjuh has a huge game, big serve and strong on both wings. She has had a lot of injuries in her young career, though she is a player to watch.Ana had match points on Aga at Wimbledon this year, her game translates to all surfaces.

I love watching Karolina play. She is such a clean striker of the ball and when she's in a match she's all business. Cool girl.

Halep back on serve. I think this should be a good match. Should be two good ones tonight.

Serena was up 3:0, I wasn't paying attention and now see that they are back on serve. If Serena is healthy she'll win. Has more power than Halep. But if she goes stiff and nervous, then anything is possible.

This is shaping up to be a critical game. Serena is pressing Simona on this service game, hard. EDIT: And Simona DF's it away.
