And Raonic and Nishikori are out, he knows coming in Fed is likely not 100%, etc. It's not just about not having to play them, it's overall the most depleted field he will ever see and something like that should motivate even him to put his best foot forward and try to seize a big opportunity to go deep. But I guess that's too much to ask for.

We're discussing whether Kyrgios failing to reach the fourth round here is a surprise. In his draw here the level of competition before fourth round is comparable to level of competition before fourth round in previous 4 slams. He hasn't reached a fourth round in Grand Slams since 2016 Wimbledon.

It isn't a surprise. @Federberg was bullshitting.

because he hasn't shown anybody squat off clay since Doha 2014. I'm sure his fans will be happy to point out his Stuttgart win in 2015, but let's get real - a 250 event is NOT a major tournament let alone a Slam.

Had a good AO - that's a real tournament no?

Not good enough thank God. I have a bad feeling he will be the last one standing at the end of this Junior Varsity tournament

Troicki injured or is Dolgopolov on absolute fire? Couldn't be arsed watching.

I see that the bottom half of the draw has been reduced to an ATP 250 event.

^ Except the useless nobody who makes a small fortune they otherwise wouldn't have from his withdrawal by going deeper than they ever had chances of before.

I got a strange feeling about Fed vs Feli tonight because he served very well vs Verdasco. I doubt Fed will waste time with baseline rallies, mostly chip and charge the net towards Feli's slice backhand. 99 times out of 100 I would say Fed in 3 but I just don't know the degree of Fed's mobility. Feli can be absolutely masterful with the left hand serve and volley..If he wants to compete like a man, this may go 4 or 5. Otherwise Feli will be Fed's prison bitch again.

Yeah, good chance Fed goes down tonight to this girly boy unfortunately. Sickening but wouldn't surprise me. With the spin and awkwardness of Lopez' lefty serves and forehand Roger needs to be able to move properly or he won't win.

But at the same time, you can face a permanent ban from slams for cursing and you can dope up to your eyeballs for years and no one gives a sh1t. Gotta love the ATP.

Serena says "I'll shove this f*****g ball down your throat" and aside from a small fine she's still on tour because of how much money she makes them. Can you imagine them threatening her with this nonsense? They're a despicable bunch of double standard f**ktards.

I completely expect Fed to lose tonight. Maybe he woke up today and the back is better than Thursday and he plays well enough tonight but it isn't going to be close to 100%. If he is moving and hitting like Thursday he's losing tonight.

Rublev is another young Russian kind of flying under the radar this year. Just 19 and he's got a pretty decent game. He gets Mcfly next, that should be interesting.
