And the winner is Caroline Woznicki - yeah nice to be able to write that again. Fairly well played match from both players, Think the Mexican is worth keeping an eye on. Little back problems for Caro which affected her serve a bit.

Impressive win from Zheng 62 61 over Niemier, she really has found her game since winning the gold medal at the Olympics, her game translates well on all surfaces, she really is on the up and up.and she is into week 2 at the USO, back to back 4th rounds at the USO
Zheng is now 15-1 in her last 16 matches

Yafan Wang defeats Azarenka (20) in 3 sets 64 36 61
At 30 years old Yafan is into her first slam R16!
Also she lost to Azarenka earlier this month

Emma should target Kostyuk's bhand it is her weakest link, Emma has had chances to break back in Kostyuk's service game at present
Kostyuk hangs on and leads 3-1 3rd set
I also think Emma is pushing her shots at present resulting in UFE

Wang def. Azarenka 6-4, 3-6, 6-1
Sad for Azarenka because she has been so near and always so faraway.I think the sun is setting on her long career.Just sad to see her to lose like that and playing listless tennis.

In regards to Azarenka I forgot to mention she does suffer from migranes, she said yesterday she has had a bad one, knowing bad migranes can take a couple of days to get rid of, maybe a factor she lost her match today
You will often see Vika wearing dark sunglasses to block out glare, if she is having a bad headache day, also she wears them in her indoor pressers to block put the glare of the light on her and most importantly her eyes.

I knew you would be pleased with Emma's result as you should be:) if she can beat Gauff in her next match, she did beat Gauff at Wimbledon in round 4, Emma will be into the top 10 in the live rankings.

WTA tennis was saved again today as all the Ukrainians lost. Couldn't be happier 'cos I can't stand their political bs with every interview. It's sickening. You play tennis to hit the ball over the net and nothing more. The other crap can be left to mainstream propaganda of which we have more than enough of.

So you should apologize Chris Evert making disgraceful remarks against Muchova yesterday on Twitter when she beat your fav Osaka
Thanks to Ons Jabeur for bringing that up!
