After a marathon game where Aga had BP, Lucie holds and takes the match 7-5 6-4.

Woz drops the opener to Maka

Ship had taken in too much water - sorry to say - but why is Makarova peeking on the day she meets woz after so many shitty losses - well that's tennis

Glad Maka won. That would have been a terrible choke otherwise.

Now, after three days, we have only Simona, Garbage and Pliskobot alive from top 8.

This match should have been interupted in the end of first set where thousands of flying ants were invading the court and especially had chosen Wozniacki as landing zone. 30 minutes break and things could have been played as a NORMAL match - and you apparantly did'nt see the mach.

I saw the third set only.

Can't blame the ants considering it was a long match and ant invasion was probably limited to a short time.

I saw a clip of Petra swatting a flying ant perfectly yesterday.

Sorry to see Woz exit. I picked her to go further. Makarova has been on the decline lately.

Just two seeds got upset today.

#2 Wozniacki ousted by Flying Ants as per Hoergren

#32 Aga ousted by L. Safarova.

That brings the total body count to 12 now.

Two matches originally scheduled for today were cancelled and will be played tomorrow. One of them involves a seeded player viz. Strycova.

Sorry your girl is out, @Hoergren.
Thanks - but I'm used to surprise results in connection with Caroline - but an extra beer went down. Now I'm ready for the junior tournament where Denmark has Clara Tauson (15) #9 in the juniors rankings. Suppose she is in both single and doubles (probably teaming up with her Luxembourg partner MOLINARO, E )

Konta gone! :bye:

With her exit, there are no more British girls out there.

I like Cibulkova, but I felt bad for Konta. She seems to have that thing where it's hard for her to play her home slam. Or is she just flat having a bad year?

She reached SF at wimby last year. So, she is not suffering from Stosur Syndrome. She just sucks this year. Now, with tons of points dropping, she won't be seeded for the rest of the year and therefore will suck even more.

Mugu drops the 2nd set. Could be in trouble. They have about 45 min left before darkness

She's projected to be in the 40's
