Anderson is out to Kyle Edmund.

I saw that Anderson, Sock, Isner, Pouille and Kohlschreiber all lost. I shrugged.

On the women's side I saw that Venus, Vandeweghe and Stephens all lost. I shrugged again. Venus was never going to repeat, Vandeweghe isn't that talented and Sloane Stephens is a head case with a bad knee and she's out of shape, too.

For the men? This is why I'm always saying these guys are no competition for the Top 4 - even when the top 4 are not 100% healthy. That's why I still think Djokovic makes it to the semis as long as his elbow holds up and he can hit the ball he'll be fine. He may lose because he gets tight and chokes...but talentwise? Even with a bad elbow he's better than the guys in his quarter.

Hardly 15 days into the year and Isner has already lost twice to folks he is not supposed to lose.

Why should this year be any different than any other year? And he's a year older so that's no helping. Has he even won many matches since he beat Nadal at the Laver Cup? He couldn't suck it up to win in Paris to get the last London spot and I don't think he's won a match since then, has he?

One of the biggest underachievers even though his serve is his only real weapon! When he wins, it's always an unnecessary battle needing to take TB's at the end! His marathon against Mahut tells it all; opponent needs to give it to him instead of him winning it!  :banghead: :cuckoo:

Verdy up 2 sets to love on "I'm your pusher", RBA (that's right Mox, I said it)

Who has the pedigree at the AO? Verdasco. Please don't confuse me with a champion or apologist for RBA. I'll take Nando any day.

I wish I'd had the nerve to pick against Raonic. For sure he looked vulnerable. He hangs in, but looks to be out the door.

IMO, Raonic is done. His window was when there were not enough middle-weights. Now, I'm also probably going to regret not voting for the fantastically named Argie: Nick Kicker.

I thought you meant he actually was. It's just 4-4 in the 4th.

Edit: They just told me he was down 0-3 in the 4th, so I get the prediction now.

Looks like Stan just tanked the last game to see if he can force the TB and get out in 4. Seems rather gassed.

Not really. His ranking was completely overstated due to late 2017 injuries and anyone who watched Sugita v Federer at Hopman Cup knows the guy can play. Besides scoop, I doubt anyone predicted anything great for Sock this year.
