It is Shark week. There's an incredibly low budget flick on SyFy called Sharknado. Hilarious if you're into that sort of thing.

Maid Marion and Madge are in a tussle

How does Mars Bars go on court with only one racquet

in her bag?

RyBar shows good sportsmanship and lends her one.

This could cause Maid the match.

Is this for real? She had to borrow a racquet from the player across the net? How does one feel if beaten by own racquet?

Are you watching this match? it seems to be stuck according to the scoreboard, what's going on?

Marion was moving and playing well and so was RyBar. Marion

had trouble with her stick and layed it on the ground and stepped

on it to loosen the strings so the announcer said. Apparently it

broke so She informed the ref that she didn't have another one.

RyBar went to her bag and loaned Bart one of hers and the ref

said he would have to penalize Marion
That's hilarious! Only Marion is capable of such Kodak moments!!! Breaking her racquet while standing on it and bouncing about trying to loosen the strings.

I saw it!

One of the actors said they were embarrassed to even

be in it. But when the movie, cheesy as it is, somehow

now has gained cult status they are happy to be in the

sequel that is now in the works.

Finally, the serve makes an appearance again and in good fashion. It must be the first match in a while in which Serena wasn't broken.

She may have set a serve record. She hit one 207km/h

that's right at 129 mph which might be the record. Don't

know about the fractions.

Correct. You'd have to go back to Wimby before the 4R and there were some early matches where she wasn't broken. I didn't see all the matches at Bastad, what about there Sunday?

Venus holds the record at 129.0. That's 207.6 km so it will

come down the fractions. She also hit another one at 206km

Serena said She was trying to hit 210km/h

Stubsie told Serena in the interview that she only lost 5

points on serve today. 19/23 first serve ( 82%...........

14/15 second serve ( 93% )

Oh my! Petra Kvitova didn't flop today. I was expecting Sam to win because of the two Petra is the bigger loser.

The sequel to instant cult and social media hit "Sharknado" will be named "Sharknado 2: The Second One," Syfy confirmed to TheWrap.

I can't get the Tennis Channel, but I heard that Lindsay

Davenport said today that at 2003 FO Serena confronted

Justine Henin about " The Hand " in the lockeroom

Man.. Sloane is just so overrated.. She will always beat herself.. She has a go for broke Fh and that is IT.. Where is tossip!:snigger
Antipusher, she had the tools and athletic skills needed to be a top 5-10 player. She is still young and I believe with a proper coach she could really elevate her game. She does seem to do well on the big slam stages, but loses focus during the smaller tournaments. Is that a product of her training? Can a good coach change that aspect of her nature? I'm not sure. With one victory over Serena during the AO she was crowned the "messiah" women's tennis for America. That is a lot of pressure to place on a 20 yr old.

Colleen, She will fall back to the 30-40 by the end of the year.. The tour will figure her out.. She doesn't have the mental fortitude to be consistent .. she will Never win a WTA event unless it is a perfect storm where all the top seeds fall.. Sloane plays down to the level of her competition, that's her problem. Check with Tossip, she is the Sloane expert:)
"a perfect storm where all the top seed fall" = Maid Marion. There is hope for Sloane:snigger

Interesting, no one really mentioned or dicussed Caroline losing to Cristea of all people. Or, is it just commentary on how Caroline game has diminished that it's not as big a topic anymore or surprise when she loses?
Did you watch it?
It wasn't surprising, these two know each other very well and are good friends, they even train together at times...
H2H was 3-2 in favor of Caro before the match, why would you say Sorana of all people? She was very qualified in beating Caro.
I did watch most of the match and as I mentioned above it was very entertaining to watch. Caro had 2 match point in the second set but could not convert, Sorana roared back and won the second set tie-breaker at love!
Caro's play was pretty good but Sorana was even better, Kudos to Sorana for a match well played, she was in the zone!
BTW, who says I don't love brunettes? I couldn't get enough Sorana last night!

Just a little sign of life from me. Have been a little out of synch lately because of scool start and other things. I saw most of the match and agree with you Kiu it was an entertaining match but somehow painfull to watch her play well and the luck is on the other side of the net! Did you see that strange netroller just to mention one of the balls. Caroline needs a victory in Cincy to get her confidence back, but it's up hill - go get'm in Cincy Caroline.:)

The truth is ugly. I really expected Petra to get over whatever it was that she had issues with in 2012. She isn't defending anything of note, so there is no reason for her to be as erratic or addled in her game as she is. Petra is the biggest disappointment in tennis to me right now.
