Oh my! Petra Kvitova didn't flop today. I was expecting Sam to win because of the two Petra is the bigger loser.

The truth is ugly. I really expected Petra to get over whatever it was that she had issues with in 2012. She isn't defending anything of note, so there is no reason for her to be as erratic or addled in her game as she is. Petra is the biggest disappointment in tennis to me right now.

Not entirely true. She's defending this title and it's worth 900 points. Then she's got SF points from Cinci and a New Haven win last year to defend before she even gets to the R16 USO appearance.

Yeah I remember she turned it on near the US Open last year and bombed miserably at the Open, but like I said at this point she really should have gotten over whatever it is that hampered her 2012 season.

Correct. You'd have to go back to Wimby before the 4R and there were some early matches where she wasn't broken. I didn't see all the matches at Bastad, what about there Sunday?

She was pretty lackluster in Bastad, but there was no one of note there to make her pay for it.

This is not news that Serena confronted her way back when it happened one of the announcers said Serena spoke to her after it happened and "asked her why she did it". Serena told her "it was dishonest and she would have never done anything like that to any of her opponents."

So, Hingis can barely win doubles matches in her comeback, and she was always a better doubles player than singles player, and I'm suppose to believe that she would be a force on the tour if she returned to singles....at 32?

I don't tweet but wish someone would ask Serena to please do something with that nasty weave, wig, fall...what ever it is called. Very unattractive.

I agree with the poster who said Petra is a disappointment. She should be ashamed to be ranked lower than two, given her game. I am happy to see how much fitter she has gotten in recent months. She was focused against Stosur. Let's see if she can maintain her level for anther match.

Watching Li now. She needs more spin on her shots. Too many going long.

Of course it's old news, but it was rehashed because an ATP player didn't own up to something he did in a match. In essence he cheated by taking a point that he didn't earn.

If her appearance means so much to you, you should create a Twitter acct and tweet her yourself. From what I hear she has a Facebook acct and you could also post a message there.
