It seemed a question of her health/endurance, not her tennis. One does wonder how long she'll hang in, with a chronic health issue.

Eugenie has one of the most innocent faces on the tour, me thinks.

And she won today!

Complete scores coming later, there are still two big matches being played.

Right again Kiu. Slammin Sammy is struggling in her match w/ Glushko. It's a set all and 1-1 in the decider.

Well Kiu who can argue on that statement. Sweetness, innocent, yet an underlying bubbly personality when she wants to let loose. Saw her oh so briefly at Eastbourne, when she tried to qualify, but she is on my list to chat with sometime in the future.
Unfortunately, was in quite a serious car accident on Friday(not my fault) 100% fault of women driver running a stop sign, but still was able to cover the semi finals in Vancouver, but had to come back to Vancouver Island on Sunday as my neck and leg were hurting so much. Maybe absent from this site for a few days but with our Canadians rockin' on all counts today, tennis watching is still very much on my agenda this week.:clap

Sorry to hear about your injuries Ruby. Get better soon. We need you. Eugenie is lovely indeed. I still think she needs to develop a weapon or "go to" shot before she make her ascension in the rankings.

Mademoiselle Bouchard is surely a looker. She also happens to be a future star tennis player; she is one who won often in the juniors and she is now making her move up the rankings with the big girls.

Schiavone had a break lead, but now she's fading. 6 DFs, including a couple to lose games. Frannie is falling apart a bit. Hopefully she pulls it back to make an entertaining match.

She would get down 4-0 before rallying to break and hold and take 2 consecutive games, but Serena put her foot down and closed out the match 6-3 6-2. Good effort from Franny. Her serve has been the achilles heel for awhile now.

That seems like JLLB going off the rails again. Doesn't even make sense. Just move on.

Venus was quoted after her match "I have nothing else to do, might as well play tennis". What happened to all those outside interest the family was constantly saying the "sisters" had? Time after time they stated they would not always need tennis.
